Serves meat, vegan options available. Indian takeaway offering the option to use Quorn faux meat for each dish. Open Mon-Thu 17:00-23:00, Fri 17:00-00:00, Sat-Sun 17:00-23:30.
Pretty much reiterating the review below . Stating 'everything can be made vegan' usually just means they're taking out the meat . Was eating some bread naaan bread here regularly until one time they informed us it wasn't vegan .
Unfortunately the last time we used them they took over two hours to deliver and there was a piece of chicken in the 'vegan' korma. Don't know what that says for cross contamination as well as it didn't actually look like it was from a korma dish
Before I was vegan a few years ago I used to really enjoy this place but has gone down in my estimation since.
If you don't want to offer vegan food, then don't, if you do want to, do it properly don't do a half arsed job. Don't advertise on the menu when not true
Usually find when they say ' anything can beade vegan' means they're not actually considering what they're cooking it with and all the ingredients.
Called ahead of time to check what was vegan on the menu, as nothing is clearly labelled in their website despite saying vegan options available.
Guy on the phone assured me anything could be made vegan...which I found hard to be believe. Continued to place an order, and reiterated several times that everything needed to be vegan, to which he confirmed.
When collecting the takeaway, he told me that the onion bhaji's and rice dish I'd ordered weren't vegan, so I said that's fine, just remove the bhaji's and swap the rice for plain rice. He confirmed this was fine, however when I got home he'd just left the non vegan items in my bag, AND charged me for them. By this point we were too far to go back for a refund but the items sadly had to be binned. Luckily we could identify which dishes weren't vegan.
Rest of the takeaway was very bogstandard. They dont seem to use fresh veg (looked like tinned veg thrown in a curry sauce).
This place is amazing! Was not expecting this level of quality from such a lone India takeaway next to the Snowdonia national park. The food was amazing with lots of veggie options and the prices were some of the fairest I've seen. I would put it up there with some of the nicest I've had around Birmingham!
