Tasty but limited - Edit
Love that they can veganise the condensed milk tea and coffees. However, there are only a couple vegan options - the vegan breakfast is the veggie one but with cheese and egg removed with no replacement. Sausages are Richmond. Worth a try if there's not a long wait. Recommend the roti with curry dip!

Charming small place - Edit
It's one of my favourite restaurants in Edinburgh. Good range of vegetarian and vegan options and all the dishes I tried were delicious and really full of flavour.
Read moreThe place is really small so finding a table is a matter of luck but they give food to takeaway.

Good but not worth long queues for - Edit
I tried the vegan nasi lemak and although it was good, it was pretty forgettable. The tempeh just tasted like plain tempeh out of the box, no particular seasoning was added to it. The mushroom skewer was really wet, like the mushrooms needed to be cooked or grilled for a lot longer
Read moreIt wasn’t bad, but if I come again I’d definitely want to try something else. Soul Vegan’s nasi lemak is 100% better in my opinion: way more flavour, texture, much more generous toppings to go with the rice too

Quite the gem - Edit
A small four table cafe serving outrageously good food and coffee with good and clearly marked vegan options. I've been here a couple of times and I'm very impressed. It has a indescribable charm little found in any cafe or restaurant these days. I'm looking forward to going back regularly.

Secret Singaporean breakfast cafe with lots of vegan options! - Edit
This cute little kopitiam (coffee shop) is really close to the botanic garden and I was pleasantly surprised to find they have a whole bunch of vegan options. I took my (Malaysian) mum for breakfast- we had roti canai (flaky flatbread) with curry and pickled veg, then we went back for lunch and had Nasi lemak (coconut rice pickles sambal mushroom satay skewer tempeh or fried tofu) which was all amazing and very authentic. They also do a vegan laksa which we didn’t try, but next time!
