Indian lacto-vegetarian restaurant in slightly upscale setting on the top floor of Elante Mall. Focus is Indian sweets and northern Indian food, but also serves some south Indian and Indo-Chinese items, as well as street food and snacks. Heavily lacto-vegetarian, so ask the manager about dairy-free options. Open Mon-Sun 9:30am-10:00pm.

Good north indian restaurant

... but depends what you are ordering. They also have different branches in Chandigarh /Panchkula.
Usually we go to Elante mall, but also tried the one in Sector 17. Bot are fine but like the Ambience more in the Sector 17. My favourite is Paneer Butter Masala and the Dal Roti Dish. We also ordered the Thali from the Panchkula branch for home delivery, was also very good.

Typical north Indian joint in a modern mall setting

Sindhi Sweets offers essentially the same little-bit-of-everything menu you've seen everywhere else in northern India: mostly northern Indian fried foods, plus some south Indian and Indo-Chinese standards, a bit of street food, and heaps of sweets. But at least this place looks clean.

Most of the menu is dairy-focused, but there are quite a few vegan-looking options (ask the manager to be sure).
