No vegan options - Edit
We made a special trip to visit the restaurant based on the reviews. When we got there we saw a sign advertising vegan and vegetarian food. Upon asking the man working said there were only two options, turkish breakfast and turkish pancake, neither of which were vegan. Was disappointed by the false advertising
Pros: Nice location, ., .
Cons: Couldnt try food, ., .

I keep coming back! - Edit
Back in Istanbul after a month and back here at Sinas. One of the best in terms of reasonably priced veg eating in Istanbul! Seating and menu is limited, but what they do have is delicious!
Pros: super tasty, reasonably priced
Cons: seating

Try the pancakes! - Edit
Super cute tiny space near galata tower, kinda hidden ;)
the menu is not too big but the lady working there was really nice and we had a mixed plate, soup and a turkish pancake.
Everything was yummy but the pancake filled with spinach and potatoe was epic! ;)

Super food by accident! - Edit
We found Sinas Galata by accident and loved the food!
It's a really tiny space with some possibilities to sit outside (when the weather is good).
Everything they serve is at least vegetarian and they have vegan options.
We both ordered a mixed plate. We liked it very much!
Pros: friendly handsome staff ;), inexpensive, delicious
Cons: tiny space

ok for quick eating - Edit
Very small cafe serving soup and unrecycled plastic salad bowls of kofta salads and rice. Food is ok but nothing special.
Pros: price. 10 lira for the mixed dish
Cons: lack of choice, nothing hot except soup , not comfortable enough to linger

Sinas galata 28 Dec 2015 - Hi!
Thanks for your comment. We also have turkish pancakes as hot served food. The cold food here is traditionally served cold, so not our fault:)
Yeah, for the plastic part, unfortunately we don't have enough resources to do the dishes. We serve in real plates however, if you prefer and ask so.
Cheers!

Tasty and affordable - Edit
Went here for Christmas 2015. We had a kind of filled pancake with potato and mixed salad bar (which is basically the whole menu). The food was good and inexpensive, though it's a small place so we sat outside.

lack of information about truly vegan products - Edit
a very friendly young lad and a middle aged lady (maybe his mom?) runs this place; we ate vegan baklava here, only to find out later on that it was not totally vegan. owners lack the information about which product in turkey is totally vegan. though they probably insist to serve vegan baklava; their ingredients (as i confirmed) include vegetable margarine which always contains %1 milk in turkey.
Pros: good people
Cons: they label things with milk as vegan

Sinas galata 06 Dec 2015 - Hi!
Thanks for the info mate! We got our employees informed and we will be sure to use %100 vegan products if its claimed to be vegan food. We've never used any kind of saturated fats in our foods though, just olive and sunflower oil. For the baklava, if it's made with margarin(saturated fats) we will make our customers sure about what they are getting. Cheers!

Great little place - Edit
If you want to taste some real home-style Turkish veg. food without hassle, then this is the place to go.
You can get a mixed plate for a very reasonable 8 liras, there isn't a huge selection but it's good enough. Choose from lentil balls, Turkish spicy cous-cous; kisir, potatoes with herbs, rice, vegetable fritters; mücver and other options.
Most are vegan except the youghurt, cheese roll pastries, and also the fritters are made with egg.
Alternatively, they serve Turkish savoury filled pancake (eggless) Gözleme, which is very good. You can get it filled with any combination of potato, spinach or cheese. Usually places serving Gözleme also have a meat filling option so it's nice to have a veg. place without that.
The food is quite tasty, and what's more, feels very healthy at the same time. Staff are friendly and there are some small tables outside, in a pleasant laneway not far from Galata tower.
Pros: Good food, Inexpensive, Location
Cons: Not a huge selection

Only place I found in Istanbul that did vegan baclava that was delicious and really nice lentil balls! Hadn't had great experiences at veg places in Istanbul but this place made up for it.
