Small, friendly place with great food. - Edit
There were at least 6 different main dishes and various puddings and drinks to satisfy anyone. The decor was simple and clean and the waiter was just so polite and helpful. The food itself was wonderful and offered good sized portions.

Awesome - Edit
We visited for a Sunday lunch and I had their Mac ‘n Cheese which was awesome! Also had a great selection of deserts which we took away and were good too! Overall it was a really really good food experience and it’s nice to have a vegan restaurant in Matlock, but maybe some music or something so we didn’t have to listen to everyone else’s conversation (especially once there were only 2 tables seated) and to create some atmosphere. Some Putumayo music (Latin American) would have made this experience 5* for us. But we’ll worth a visit!!!

Great little cafe - Edit
Stopped off at Matlock on our way home after having a weekend in The Peaks. Excited to find this place open on a Sunday.
Read moreAll the staff were very polite and friendly. Great service and good food freshly made.
We ordered the Meatball Sub and a Loaded Burrito. Both really tasty. They came with a little pot of sweetcorn that was cooked in a little bit of special sauce and were amazing!
We also ordered some sausage, stuffing and pickle rolls to take away which we had later that evening. They were yummy!
Will definitely come back next time we’re in the area
Pros: 100% Vegan, Great service , Friendly owner and staff

Lovely little place set back from the main high street. Lovely food and was particularly impressed that they had a kids’ menu. Finding a fully vegan kids’ menu is like striking gold!

Sin Carne Cantina - Edit
Really nice small cafe tucked away down a side street. I was going to Matlock and Matlock Bath anyway so made sure I went in to check it out. I immediately got a very friendly greeting from the staff member behind the counter and she was really nice and chatty, making me feel at ease right away.
Read moreThey even had hand sanitiser on the tables which was a really nice touch.
I got the Mac and Cheese which came with peas and sausage bits. The portion was very generous, the cheese sauce was really nice and smoky and the pasta was large tubes of pasta rather than small macaroni tubes. The thing that let it down though was there wasn't much sausage in there and for £7 I expected a bit more. I haven't tried anything else on the menu so I can't speak for that, but if thats the theme throughout then it feels a tad overpriced. If it keeps a small vegan business open though I don't mind paying it. I did feel the takeaway food and drinks were fairly priced though.
The decor was nice too, they even had some books on veganism which could be an interesting read to someone considering making the switch or just to pass the time while waiting for your food.
Overall I'd say its worth checking out, and adds some variety and a vegan option to the long street of chip shops

Amazing vegan Mexican food at good prices - Edit
We found this wonderful small 100% vegan restaurant at the fish pond end of Matlock Bath. Super friendly staff and good food options made this lunch visit a great success. We ordered the burrito, a quesadilla, mac and cheese, and a toasted sandwich. All were wonderful and value for money. We'll definitely eat here again the next time we're in town.

Lovely place and people! - Edit
We went to Matlock Bath specifically to visit the cafe and were not disappointed. We felt so welcome with our newly walking and slightly destructive one year old and had a lovely time talking to the staff. The food was delicious - our toddler had a mac and cheese from the kids menu and has never enjoyed anything so much! Husband and I had the burrito and meatball sub. Service was very fast and efficient and the huge piece of cake (with squirty cream) just topped it off. We can't wait to visit again!

Really enjoyed our impromptu stop off! The menu is simple but so well executed.... Flavoursome burritos, salsa with a twist and the coconut corn on the cob is divine. Had to try the chocolate torte and again it was delicious! Lovely team too. Will be back 💚🌱

Vegan cafe in Matlock - Yay! - Edit
Vegan, dog friendly, lovely people serving and cooking vegan food. What more could we ask for on a rainy February day in Derbyshire? I had the tofu sandwich with pineapple and mango salsa with corn on the cob. To be honest, it wasn't really a salsa but it was tasty nevertheless. The bread was a bit disappointing. Partner had the mac 'n cheese, which he really enjoyed. I'd definitely go for that next time. All in all, a decent lunch and unexpectedly fully vegan. We also bought some red onion chutney made by a charming young man working there. And... I took home a lovely cupcake.

Nacho Heaven - Edit
We visit yesterday and he’d both kinds of nachos. The cheese sauce in the meatball and cheese nachos was to die for! We spent the journey home pondering how it had been made due to it being a closely guarded secret known only to the owner.

Great potential there - Edit
Great friendly staff but the food was not up to snuff! It all sounded great on the menu and had a great Mexican theme. I ordered the Cubanos sandwich which comprised of 2 pieces of tofurky and 2 slices of American style cheese, in a toasted roll. Saw other stuff that was brought out and it looked like we were lucky with our order... Nachos looked cheap and dry, quesadilla looked a bit soggy.
Read moreWas cheap lunch out though and a great option compared to the rest of the eating options in Matlock bath.
Pros: All vegan, Cheap, Lovely staff
Cons: Poor quality food, Bad decor, Not really Mexican food
