Great vegan menu - Edit
I’m not a huge fan of ‘fish and chips’ but Simpsons has a very thoughtful, expansive vegan menu. I like the jackfruit burger and cheesy chips 🍟

Best chips in the area - Edit
All chips are cooked separately from other ingredients in their own oil so all chips here are vegan. (I asked them). The frickles are to die for.

Cons: A bit dear, Lots of excess packaging even if you dine in

Great options - Edit
Family wanted fish and chips and had heard good things about Simpsons and their vegan options. Had the to-fish and chips. Great portion size and really fresh. First time trying to-fish… normally just have chips and mushy peas so was nice to feel I wasn’t missing out. To-fish was tasty, had quite a fishy taste. Nice, but think I’d try one of their other vegan options next time. Had lots on the menu including vegan battered sausage and pea fritters. Friendly staff and food really hot. Would definitely visit again!

Very Good - Edit
They now have a building next door with extra seating so there is no problem if you want to buy your take away and eat it in! The frickles (fried pickles) are very nice, yes. Since the first review / photo they now also have vegan gravy on the menu. The peas were nice. We enjoyed our trip here. They fry in groundnut oil. Not sure if they put the to-fish / frickles etc in a separate fryer or if vegan food is cooked in the same fryer as other people's battered sausage or fish!

Cons: Not sure if they cook vegan products in same fryer

Great offering (try the frickles!) - Edit
Recommended this by someone on Reddit, and we can't say no to "fish" and chips.
Read moreFrickles were amazing (sliced, battered, fried pickles), and it was great to see to-fish as part of the meal deal.
Looks like it's very popular, with phone-orders being picked up regularly.
Seating for 2, but that's all - mostly take-away focused.
Pros: Vegan meal deal
