I really am so happy we chose Simple Goodness in Penrith to meet with family for my daughter's birthday meal this evening. The food was absolutely amazing. Incredibly tasty, beautifully presented, great portion sizes and very reasonably priced. It is so obvious everything is made from great quality ingredients with skill, care and love. We are vegan but the family members we met aren't and they enjoyed the delicious food as much as us. We were met with a warm welcome, were really well looked after all evening and such kindness was shown to our 3 young children. Conscious, ethical and environmentally friedly choices are in evidence throughout and the only thing I am sad about is that we dont live nearer! We live over in Whitehaven but will definitely be making a short detour through Penrith whenever we head South on the m6 to collect some takeaway salad bowls (I really can't describe just how varied and tasty they were!), homemade bread and some delicious cakes. The lemon and coconut was my favourite. Absolutely amazing food and lovely people. We wish them every success!

Delicious Vegetarian food in Penrith, Cumbria - Edit
I was delighted to find a vegetarian bistro had opened in Penrith my nearest town. I have visited this venue on several occasions now and can vouch for the excellent food and service this place offers. The owners, Christi and Laslow, are simply lovely and very knowledgeable. Their passion for their food and business is clearly evident. I've had a couple of simple lunches there so far and each has been absolutely delicious. I especially enjoyed a kofta dish with an equally flavorsome salad. I also love the cappuccino with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top. You can opt for other sprinkles or none at all.

Owners were very enthusiastic about food and health and were happy to cater for both vegans and vegetarians. The food was superb and well presented with interesting and varied choices available. Takeaway available in biodegradable containers.
