Possibly offering the only vegetarian fish and chips option in the city. Note: the vege-fish contains egg. Changing menu might include other vegetarian choices but no vegan ones (per Nov 2013 report). Open Mon-Sat 11:00am-11:00pm, Sun 12:00pm-10:30pm.

Not so good - Edit
Nice pub with nice athomsphere and nice staff.
But the food wasn't good. I ate veggie fish and chips, and it tasted nothing.
Pros: Nice place., A real english pub., Nice staff

Disappointing - Edit
We tried 2 of the 3 vegetarian choices available. Neither was very good and both were overpriced. There were no vegan options at all. The atmosphere was traditional pub, but most of the diners were tourists. Not surprising with its convenient location a block off Trafalgar Square.
Pros: location, traditional atmosphere
Cons: very few vege choices, food was not very tasty, price too high for what we got

Veggie fish and chips - Edit
NB the "fish" is simply fried halloumi cheese in an egg batter. Definitely not for vegans (or the health-conscious).

Vegetarian Fish and Chips - and other veg options! - Edit
I didn't expect to be able to eat pub food on our first trip to London, but it turns out in the heart of the city - near Charing Cross and Leicester and Tragalgar Squares - lies the Silver Cross, a pub that offers Vegetarian Fish and Chips and a great falafel burger. It's a clean, friendly typical British pub. Nice not to have missed out on enjoying this tradition while maintaining my vegan standards.
