Yummy but pricey - Edit
Like everything in the Food Hall the dumplings I had were not cheap especially because the portion wasn't big. They tasted very good though.

Overhyped - Edit
This place got the best review of them all when they first opened. I went there just days after that. This review is written long after, so I'm not sure if anything has changed since then. If so, I'm sorry if this review doesn't match the experience you might have now.
Read moreEverything I had from the menu, the same menu for the last two years, was fine. The curry had gotten a lot of great review, and yes, it was tasty, but nothing you would want to buy again. There was hardly any sauce, and the portion was way off, considering the steep price. The buns were fine, the dumplings were the biggest disappointment, flavourless and too pricy.
It was nice to try, but will not eat here again, unless the change the menu/match the portions to the prices.
Pros: Completely vegan, Nice staff
Cons: Prices, Portions , Lack of flavour in some dishes

Tasty but basic, small & expensive - Edit
We had a spicy curry and a portion of steam buns. The curry was not really a curry - it was just rice, some sauce on the side and a tiny bit of greens, so really disappointing for over €13. The steam buns were just 2, also very basic with not much stuff in them at all for over €14.
Read moreWe understand this is Norway and everything is priced higher, but the prices here are really unreasonable for how basic the food is and how tiny the portions are, when there are better and cheaper places to eat at in Oslo in comparison, like King Falafel for example.
The location however is good and we enjoyed the vibe of the whole food court.
Pros: Good location
Cons: Basic food, Small portions, Expensive

Good fast food - Edit
I had the curry, which had a ton of different textures and flavours, and was really delicious. It's in a rather noisy food court whichs serves meat, but Silk Road is completely vegan. Sitting next to Silk Road on a table provides free entertainment, as meat lovers comes by saying "Oh! Dumplings! I love dumplings! .... ooooh, they only serve vegetables.... "

Cons: Noise, A smell of meat due to other stalls

Great concept, food didn’t quite meet my taste butts - Edit
Great concept (every food is a donation, they try to use regional ingredients) i liked the curry, the dumplings were not to my personal taste

Be careful - Edit
We clicked on the website provided here in HC to check it out and ended up at Silk Road, another restaurant they own way far from this street food place. It was a snobby fancy-ish place with a tasting menu that cost 800nok. For real. Not street food at all. Big waste of time and energy. Their website should be clearer.

It is unfortunate you chose to leave us a two star review because you didn’t follow the instructions on our website. The location of the street food and the restaurant are clearly marked. Also our restaurant tasting menu is priced at 695nok, not 800nok, and that is for 15 plates of food.

Nice but noisy - Edit
Tried the curry with sweet potato and okra balls, which tasted fine. The portion was on the small side but still filling. Sadly, they were out of ice cream.

Pros: Good food.

Fantastic flavours! - Edit
Small menu makes choosing easier (and maybe the cooking too) so everything seems very fresh, full of flavour and attractively presented. Paper bowls reduce environmental impact too.

Great food! - Edit
I had the steamed buns and the dumplings here, and they were both very tasty! The steamed buns were quite big, filled with onions, cabbage and battered asparagus. The dumplings are like momos and were filled with spinach or mushroom. The food hall has communal tables to sit and eat and there was a good vibe, although can be busy! I paid 280 krone for both dishes

Very tasty food in a great atmosphere - Edit
We came across this great place in the street food hall. We didn't realize at first it's all vegan because you can get quite confused with all the food stands and the menu didn't say it explicitly, but we were more than happy.
Read moreWe had the curry and the dumplings. Both were incredibly tasty and the portions were big. It's a great atmosphere in the food hall and you can have a nice drink with your food among locals. The menu is very diverse and has a lot of new things to try. Hope to go back here and try the ice cream!
Pros: Diverse menu, Very friendly staff, Tastes awesome
