New Vegan Menu - Edit

I always find calmness whenever I'm eating at this place. The food is simple and the staffs there are friendly.

I'm happy to find out they have a new menu which all food is vegan. And you may find some of your favourite snacks as they are selling bao, biscuits etc. (Not all are vegan)

Please take note that some drinks do contain dairy and honey.

Change of menu - Edit

I visited this place recently and they have somewhat changed the menu. Some items like the green noodles that I wanted to try are no longer on the menu. The new menu also doesn't have any pictures. (maybe the change is not confirmed yet?)

So far, I have tried a veg kolo mee, a spicy soup noodles and a dry vege noodles. They were all pretty good although the kolo mee and dry vege noodles tasted pretty similar.

The setting is pretty homely. You have to remove your shoes before entering and everything is pretty much self-service including payment. $3.50 is the guide price for each dish but you can donate more if you wish to. Do help to return the used dishes to the sink at the back of the shop if the staff is busy.

Pros: Homely and comfortable setting, Very friendly staff

Cheap comfort food with great service - Edit

This is the first time I patronised a place so religiously-oriented, with self-service payment and requirements for customers to take off their shoes etc. Most of their dishes are vegan - in fact, the vegan menu is far more extensive than the “vegetarian” one. We had 4 sets shared amongst 2 people because we were greedy, but quantity wise one set is DEFINITELY enough for one with an average appetite.

While the dishes are generally pretty decent, they tastes pretty similar with almost identical items in each bowl of noodle. At the same time, there was a distinct underlying soya-sweetness that accompanied all the noodle dishes ordered, including Assam bee Hoon, special vegetable sauce noodles, and dried hor fun. The mushroom rice set had an interesting rice as a base - similar to nasi lemak rice, with a strong coconut sweetness.

Pros: cheap, great service, generous portion of rice

Nice place to hang out with group of friends - Edit

The place is not very clean and quiet. Staff will not rush for you to finish the food. There are bookshelf with books You can read the books, watch TV or chit-chating with friends. Remember to pay the bill on your own. They don't calculate the total for you. There is a tray with change. Take your own change. Please call then at 6300 1756 before going as the opening hours might be changed.

Pros: Quiet. Feel like home., Homemade barley
