Vegan Options - Edit
Happy to find vegan options so far south! The chef there has been experimenting with various vegan dishes (lentils, fried plantain, and more) but has been limited on fresh ingredients while trying to stay sustainable and limit waste. Worth asking what other options are available for vegano. This restaurant serves local seafood and meat primarily, so thats something to be aware off. They support Grupo Tortuguero, a conservation and protection group for sea turtles, and sell merch within the cafe. Great dairy-free options for coffee drinks. Soyrizo and produce available in town at Isla mercado as well if cooking yourself (chef doesn't use Soyrizo because its heavily processed).
