CLOSED: Sid's Gourmet Vegetarian

My wife and I went to Sids Vegetarian restaurant for the first time today.

I had the sweet and sour chicken with spinach and rice and peas and cornbread and a sorell juice.

My wife had the curry chicken with sweet potatoes,rice and peas and a guava juice.

The food was Excellent, the flavors were just so good, this is the best Mock meat meals ever,the flavors are ectremely delicious.

Believe me ,we will be back and we would like to reccomend this Vegetarian restaurant to you.

This restaurant is hands down my favorite when it comes to variety and flavor. The menu is like no other and the flavors explode in your mouth. If you haven't been there trust me it's worth the drive.If I didn't live hear it would still be worth the travel. And the owner is a genuine sweet heart.

I asked for the sweet n sour beef chunks, peas n rice, spinach, wheat roll, and tea. They only had the roll. Substituted chicken, no peas, corn, and bottled water. Zero seasoning on the rice or corn. Basicly, everything's dumped out of the package it was bought in and stuffed in a styrofoam tray with a plastic fork. If this is your kind of food... you'll love it. If you want taste, imagination, and the food that is on the menu... STAY AWAY! ALSO, I can't tell you what the current inspection rating is, the posting was shoved behind an electrical conduit and curled around so you couldn't read it. I didn't want to know since I was already dissapointed enough.

My wife and I drove from Newnan to Stockbridge GA specifically to eat at Sid's.
Can't say how the food is because when we got there at 1pm, the door was locked
and no one answered when we knocked.
I had called Monday to check if they were open at which time a man stating he is Sid,s son
faxed me a copy of their menu which includes hours of operation. The menu also
includes restaurant ph#'s, fax# listed was answered by some one who said (770) 507-7782
is his # not Sid's. When I called (770) 507-7780 all I get is messages is full.
Is this the new business style??????????????????????????????????????????

When I first discovered that there was a vegetarian restaurant in Stockbridge, GA I was amazed and pleasantly surprised!! I love how he offers samples like everyone else here has mentioned and is also very friendly. My favorite dish is the sweet and sour chunks with mashed potatoes and Spinach with the Peanut sauce.. You get so much food for the price that you pay that you can eat on it for 2 days or share.. I hope that this establishment continues to be successful and the word gets out about how yummy it is.

We've been meaning to stop by Sid's for a while and finally made it tonight. If they were open tomorrow we would eat there again!

We had Crab Cakes and Salisbury Steak (Don't worry, mock meat, all vegan) and were AMAZED by Sid's genius in the kitchen.

We have yet too go back, since we just had dinner hours ago, but trust me...we're regulars at Sid's from now on!

The restaurant is clean and simply furnished. It is always nice to meet the owner of a restaurant, especially if the owner is also the cook! We found Sid to be a congenial, knowledgeable man. He brought us samples of many different dishes. The menu was varied - something for everyone in our group. The generous servings were delicious, and piping hot. Sid's prices are reasonable and fair.
Our group was very satisfied.

With this restaurant being conveniently located in Stockbridge, I no longer have to travel all over Atlanta for good vegetarian food. It's great to have a vegetarian restaurant located in the southern most part of Atlanta. The food is excellent! I absolutely love this restaurant! I've been here quite a number of times with my husband and we can't seem to get enough. I've tried quite a number of items on the menu, but you must absolutely try the sweet & sour beef chunks! They are my favorite! Yum-Yum-Yum is all I can say about the food here!

We went to Sid's for lunch. The owner was very pleasant and the food was wonderful! They have a varied menu, with excellent choices and the prices are great. The restaurant was very clean and easily accessible to the expressway. It was easy in and out. We plan to go back again and again. I'm glad to finally get a vegetarian restaurant South of Metro Atlanta. Southsiders are healthy, too!
