Best nasi goreng ever! Such a beautiful family run business. If you are in a rush for food don’t come here but if you aren’t in a rush definitely come, beautiful, authentic food made with love takes time to cook and it was exceptional.

Totally recommend! - Edit
Delicious and cheap food, nice place and friendly staff. We had to wait quite a bit for our meal to be ready but I guess it's because there was a big group of friends there (10 people). So I wouldn't recommend if you're in a hurry, otherwise don't miss the chance to eat there! We wanted to go back but didn't have time.

Ein must to try! - Edit
Ich finde die Location wunderschön! Fern vom Trubel.

Can’t miss! - Edit
This place is incredible. The prices are ridiculously low and the food is great quality. All vegan, organic and cooked with coconut oil. Taste is amazing. The best food I’ve had in Ubud so far and I’ve tried several of the places with bigger names and much higher prices. Location is a little hard to find, but once you find it you will probably become a regular. I’ve been there 3 times now and can’t wait to come back again. Crispy mushrooms are a must try and the Nasi Kampur is a steal for only 30k. Check out the Mandala paintings upstairs for an extra treat while you wait for the food.

excellent food! best prices - Edit
Some of the veggie places in Bali like Sage and Sayuri can be upwards of 60-80K for a dish. This place is amazing for less than 1/2 or 1/3 the cost. I had a delicious dish of traditional food and a beautiful restaurant space.

The best Indonesian food in Ubud!! - Edit
A bit hard to find because the sign is not that visible (best landmark is Bali Shell - just walk across the bridge next to Bali Shell and you will see the sign). Amazing food! Portions are huge, the prices are ridiculously low, and everything is vegan. They only have one server, so give yourself an hour for meals (can take up to 20 min to get a hold of the server who is not always in the dining area). Opening hours vary (they don’t have set times, and beware of Sundays when they open some time in the afternoon after lunchtime).

1hr 30mins wait for food - Edit
Really wasn't worth the hike up there plus the first night we tried to go it was closed but happy cow hours not reflecting this.
Read moreWe ordered drinks and having been at the monkey forest for hours we were sweating and thirsty, lemon water took 45mins to arrive. Chairs could do with cushions if waiting is standard, very uncomfortable, our small meals took 1hr 30mins to arrive and was considering just leaving the money for the drinks on the table.
Cafe is dark with no lights, no music, no atmosphere and no fans switched on. There were tables left uncleared for about an hour with flies around.
The meal was tasty and cheap, the surroundings around the cafe are peaceful with a water feature, but I won't be going back.
Pros: vegan, cheap, quiet, when food eventually arrives
Cons: slow service, hot, uncomfortable, dark

Don't miss this place!! - Edit
Family run local restaurant. Everything is cooked when ordered, so totally home made and fresh! (don't be in a rush if you go there, real food takes its time to be done)... Really loved the Sates (lilit and jamur) and the crispy mushrooms. Try nasi campur or curry to overview their cooking style. For us, probably one of the best vegan restaurants in Ubud, and for sure the best sambal in Bali. If you like their food, don't miss their cooking classes. Plus, affordable prices!

This is the funniest little place tucked away in what looks like a temple. Very quiet, peaceful atmosphere. My meal was absolutely delicious but it did take about 35 minutes to arrive. Authentic Balinese cooking.

This is the best place to get a local flavor. So many amazing options and the prices were super reasonable. Expect to wait 30 minutes for food but it’s worth it. Women working speaks English. Try both the skewers and the homemade curry

Cheap but not good quality food - Edit
I'm not going to lie and say this is the most flavorsome or fresh food in the world because it certainly isn't. We've been a few times because it's super cheap and it's a nice and peaceful place.
Read moreThe most recent time we went we ordered the mushroom skewers which were inedible as the mushrooms had definitely gone off and tasted like vinegar (not sure how fresh the produce is here). To top it off there was a big long black hair in my rice dish which was very off-putting.
Won't be back here unfortunetly.
Pros: Peaceful atmosphere, Cheap
Cons: Low quality produce, Not fresh, Not the best hygiene standards

By far the best Vegan experience in Ubud - Edit
A little hard to find. Follow the weird path away from the street and enter the restaurant via a parking lot on the left side. It seems to be a temple! Not fancy. Not many people. The food is f***ing amazing! Had 3 dishes and was filled after 1. You should definitely order everything. The fried stuff is #tastyaf. The tempeh is on point. And also the simple red rice is so good!
