Great vegetable/vegan Oyaki - Edit
Came here because of the review on here to try some traditional Oyaki and we were not disappointed at all. Owner is absolutely amazing and can speak good English. Highly recommend the red bean paste one - perfect snack while visiting the castle!

Super affordable and delicious! - Edit
I found this place by chance and didn't even know about oyaki until I saw it. Turns out oyaki are traditional filled buns from Nagano. The dough is vegan and the filling vary: vegetables, meat, fish, red bean... In this shop, it's clear which ones are vegetables only. Plus, there are a few crate tables set up by city hall right across the street to sit down and eat! I got two oyaki (wild veggies and pumpkin) and was filled for the whole afternoon. Plus, they were really tasty!
