All veg sushi - Edit
Really awesome fully vegetarian/vegan sushi spot. Lots of options to choose from, or you can go for an assorted plate for 180nt. Plan to wait a little bit for your food as it’s made to order, and is all super fresh. Tucked away on a small side street in Taichung, definitely will be back!

Creative sushi - Edit
Yasaisushi features many creative sushi on their menu. The shiso tomato and coconut sushi left the deepest impression, possibly a recreation of salmon sushi and squid sushi. The flavours of the sushi were also unique using ingredients such as apple, broccoli, mushrooms, nagaimo and sweet potato to name a few. The shop also features a daily special and party platter.
Read moreAs a tourist strapped for time, it is best to pre-order instead of walking-in. My experience with pre-ordering via website was convenient but you need a Taiwan mobile number (tourist SIM works) and it still took some time for the food to be served as limited seating is available.

Items that are ovo-lacto-vegetarian are clearly marked with an orange dot. The rest of the menu is vegan. The sushi bar ambiance is pleasant, but it does fill up quickly during peak hours. You can also order takeout to skip the wait.

Although it's small, it does not feel crowded, in fact quite a sense of space! There are so many kinds of sushi, whether it is small rolls, sushi rolls, or warship sushi, they are very delicate and delicious; even the display and tableware are very textured!

We loved this place! The flavor of the sushi was good but the rice contained a little bit too much moister. Other than that, everything was perfect. Service was fast, staff was nice and food was great!
