Serves meat, vegan options available. Indian restaurant with extensive vegan and vegetarian choices. Live music. Open Mon 5:30pm-11:00pm, Wed-Sun 5:30pm-11:00pm.
Closed Tue.
We went there and the seating was a but random for a Restaurant but we wanted to give it a try also the owner was really friendly. We told him we are Both vegan and he told us that he can make some Vegetarian dishes vegan as well but there were also vegan dishes labelled on the Menu. We ordered vegan dishes and the waiter came with the food telling us that in the rice of our Curry has Butter inside but we don’t have to worry because it’s cleared Butter and it has no Protein because he clearly thought it’s because of an allergy and did not understand the ethical aspect of veganism. We Said that it is indeed a Problem and we would not have come in the First Place if we knew the vegan labelled dishes are not vegan. After a discussion the owner told us that he can make New rice just for us. I told him that this would be okay but it’s still not okay that he used non vegan Rice with ghee inside on all vegan dishes. He told us that I am Right but it’s only a Little Bit and the Curry itself is vegan. I Said That This won’t make a difference. If a dish is labelled As vegan it has to be 100% Vegan and not only 99%. Bread also has Joghurt inside so it was no alternative. He was Kind of nice but at the same time he started to explain us that veganism would not be healthy to two Girls living vegan for 11& 6 years and being healthy. Also he asked the next group of they would be vegan and shouted towards us that this group is not vegan(?okay?)Both was rude and disrespectful towards us and he did not seem to notice. The food itself was good but not the Most authentic.
Also, thank you for the waiter who told us the truth about the yoghurt in the bread and the ghee in the rice.
Thank you so much for this honest and detailed review. And especially thank you for trying to explain the ethical side of veganism to the owner. This really matters.Vegan is not about “a little bit” or allergies — it’s about values, respect and clear honesty. We have to speak up and ask for proper labeling and respect, otherwise nothing will change.Your voice is important. 🌱🙏
