Tiny and warming

Quite small so not much place for people to sit, but it was just me and my husband so we managed to order a bit of food and sit by the window. Really warming on a winter day - we loved everything we ordered, but especially the potage with bread.

Pros: Very yummy

Cons: Small, so little indoor seating

Smaller than expected, but it tastes nice

The ganmo burger set was pretty good, though we found ourselves still hungry by the end of it. The unnecessary amount of plastic was also a bit of a letdown.

Pros: Tasty burger, Nice service

Cons: The burger is tiny, Plastic everywhere, Cash only

Reasonably priced yummy food

Have been to this restaurant a few times now. The food is delicious. The staff do not speak English, but they are friendly and there are pictures so it is easy to communicate. Prices are reasonable. We especially like the burgers with potato salad in them. The portions are not very large - but usual for Japan I think.

Pros: Delicious , A great bike ride from Karuizawa, Nice outdoor sitting area

Cons: Relatively limited menu , It is a little far to walk to from Karuizawa , No English menu

Highly recommended

It is located in a corner of Hocchi ichiba, run by a lady from Tofu maker. Very tasty! Definitely a must go if you are around the area and a tofu lover!
Especially the tofu salad was amazing with wasabi dressing. Premium tofu drink, also very creamy and nice.
