Shine plant based restaurant in Orillia has been my favourite find since moving north of the city. Located in Orillia, this all vegan restaurant has sooo many unbelievable dishes. The things they do with sweet potato is drool worthy…dumplings, grilled cheese. (See photos included here) Ordered both of these last week and it’s all I have been thinking of. Their mushroom sandwich is off the charts when it comes to flavours. So many other great menu items. Have not yet tried one I didn’t like.

I love that I can order online or by phone and specify my pick up time so it’s hot and ready for when I arrive to pick up.
Located on a great Orillia street with some cute shops. I drive an hour to get here without even thinking about it. If you have not tried this place, get in your car now! It will not disappoint!!!

We visited Shine on a cold and snowy day and the place itself was very warm and inviting. The menu has some great options and it was not easy to choose, but we decided on the pierogi grilled cheese, gnocchi, and cauliflower wrap. Everything, including the sides, were so delicious it’s impossible to choose a favourite. The coffee was also very good! It’s obvious there was a lot of thought and passion put into the menu and the quality of the food. I would definitely go out of my way to visit here again. 5/5

A good option for if you are coming through Orillia! Their dine in menu consisted of a lot of comfort items that you could get at home (gardein fish sticks for their tacos) but my absolute favorite was the takeaway mushroom and truffle pizza. It was TO DIE for!

Tasty bowls and sandwiches! - Edit
We tried their bowls and sandwiches and they all tasted pretty good! Portobello Steak sandwich was our favorite. Asian dumpling noodle bowl was a bit salty though. They also have a number of in-house prepared stuff for sale. Great service!

Shine is an excellent choice for smoothies and plant based meals in Orillia. They have lots of menu options to satisfy all your cravings and dietary needs. Their menu changes seasonally and they use fresh, local ingredients. The caesar salad is amazing, and is a crowd pleaser for sure! Definitely a great place to get a healthy bite to eat in Orillia.

Tried this place for lunch and it is great. Best vegan food we had in Orillia, similar to Fresh in Toronto. Everything is fresh and homemade, and really TASTY. I had the pulled "pork" sandwich with a tuscan bean soup (very salty, but otherwise good). My husband had a side salad (this was amazing) and a burger. Their sauces and condiments are delicious. I would go here for every meal and be satisfied, lots of options on the menu.

Read moreI'd recommend the caesar salad for first timers or new vegans. It is MINDBLOWING. Coconut bacon and almond parm, mixed with their amazing garlicky caesar dressing that they also sell in tubs for $10. The cauliflower curry bowl or the new build your own beyond meat burger are amazing choices too. I believe the build your own BMB is $14.50 ish(?) And comes with a side of your choice. I usually go with caesar salad or kettle chips and creamy chipotle dip.
Their bbq jackfruit pulled pork has a taste in it that is a bit pronounced for my liking personally, but the texture is spot on!
The wait staff, particularly the Aussie guy, are awesome and extremely friendly. If you have any other dietary restrictions, they are happy to whip you up something to cater to that need. All around 10/10!

Shine offers Orillia's best tasting food. After multiple visits, we have tried most of the menu items. Each one is presented beautifully and is full of flavour. The starters, mains, soups and salads are uniformly excellent. A good variety of options and specials as well as wines and craft beers make it possible to have either a casual or "event" meal. The service ice is friendly, qui k and competent. Try this wonderful fully vegan restaurant every chance you get.
