It’s ok

They have a couple options. The v is for vegetarian and the v it’s for vegan, they also serve GF meals.
Be careful because they might not serve 100% plant base.
I tell them that I wanted vegan food and they offered me not vegan apt food.

Great vegan options

Eaten here twice and enjoyed both meals. Vegan options clearly marked and were delicious!! Great decor, cool casual spot.

Not traditional but good!

I love the almond milk with cardamom and saffron (i think Tigers milk), masala dosa, and dal. Nice outdoor seating in the summer. You’re missing out if u don’t try the dosa.

Great vegan options

Sherkaan has great vegan options. I have never had any issues with service. My favorite is probably the masala dosa. Their dal is also really good, but spicy!

Served non-vegan food.. twice

Tonight was the second time that I have been served, and have eaten, food that I thought was vegan but that actually wasn’t. I ordered a clearly labeled vegan dish which was supposed to come with rice. When it came out, it had naan. I asked the server, “I ordered a vegan dish and was told it would come with rice, so I want to confirm that this is indeed vegan.” They said yes, so I started eating it. After a while the waiter came out and said that the dish itself was vegan, but the naan was actually vegetarian. Another time, I ordered a hot cider and it came with a foam on the top, which wasn’t listed as an ingredient on the menu. I took a few sips before I thought to ask exactly what it was and found out it was dairy cream. So while the vegan items are labeled on the menu, they clearly don’t really pay attention to what they are serving or take care to make sure someone ordering vegan items is getting vegan food. Otherwise, the food is delicious and the place has a great ambiance, but I can’t really get over the fact that I have now eaten non-vegan food here on two occasions.
