Love this place - Edit
Cosy atmosphere, lots of seating upstairs. They have a couple of vegan options, which are all delicious. I quite often take friends here for lunch. The toasties are huge!

Nothing crazy but they have tasty breakfast. I tried two options, and the one without cheese were better (I was surprised) but both were good with fresh veggies.
I missed a bit of protein (seitán, tofu or tempeh could be nice)

Lovely and cosy spot, you can work there with a good vegan cappuccino ☕

I wouldn't give a high grade in other cases, but reading has so little alternatives, than this place is actually a game changer !

We just had breakfast at Shed, I had avo toast and was yum, two slices of sourdough instead of the usual one too!! The chap working was really helpful, getting our food ready quickly as we had a train to catch and he even gave me a free bit of vegan delish choc cake. Will def go back next time I'm in Reading.

Had a lovely lunch here last week. As I am gluten free I had the lentil power salad which was delicious but there are lots of other vegan options and my son was able to choose what he wanted in his salad. The cafe itself is great and relaxed. It is situated just off Friar Street and although I have been to Reading many times I didn’t realise it was there but so glad I know now!

I only found this sandwich bar through the happy cow app, it's down a lane so not being from Reading, I'm not sure I would have know about it. Great selection for vegans and veggies, a lot of veggies can be made vegan too. Lovely selection and friendly staff. Go and try something here from a great independent shop!

Friendly place nice for an informal meeting or chat with friends. Seating upstairs. Soup is always vegan and tasty, and plant milks are always available. Vegan light lunch options include the panini and falafel kind of options. I've not tried these yet. The Wi-Fi is good and they don't hurry you, so works well for working lunches.
