Legendary Brunonian establishment! - Edit
A lot of Brown alumni don't fondly remember the Sharpe Refectory - lovingly referred to as the Ratty - but honestly when you think about it, if you're a guest, you pay 10.95 for a full buffet that you can sit in all day long, do some work, read a copy of the NYT or ProJo, and get endless refills on coffee, fountain drinks etc? It's a decent deal! Brown Dining Services do a great job of keeping the menu changing, and are a friendly, hardworking bunch. I fondly remember the hundreds of meals (including the good vegan selection!) I had at the Ratty during my years at Brown.

Affordable, full buffet. - Edit
This is a great place to go if you want to eat a lot for real cheap, including coffee tea, fruit, etc.. Lots of vegan options listed and vegan pizza upon request.
Read moreIf you get there before 11 you only pay $10.95 and you can eat the breakfast food and lunch (starting at 11) and you can get a box of food to go as well. Good place to study or work as well.
And the staff is really friendly and attentive.
Pros: Lots of vegan options, good for studying, healthy
Cons: No vegan desserts.
