Delicious but oily dumplings - Edit

The dumplings were absolutely delicious and we tried every single one of them. They were a bit oily but definitely worth. Just look for the crown then you’ll find it.

Pros: delicious , vegan, cheap and easy

Cons: a bit oily

breakfast near Taipei station - Edit

Great at this place opens early in this so close to Taipei main station. I actually walked about a mile to get here because there was nothing in my area. this place has been here for years I think I was here 20 plus years ago. Hasn't changed much. Dumplings were all yummy and super cheap but a bit too oily for me.

Pros: great dumplings, inexpensive

Cons: oily

Fantastic baozi and warm hosts - Edit

Lovingly made vegetarian street food by a mother-daughter pair. Conversation over hot food on the street with these two was a highlight of my time in Taipei.

Great Street Food - Edit

With a bit of patience trying to find the exact location, I was pleasantly surprised at how cheap and delicious the steamed buns were. As previous reviews state, the lady speaks some english and is very friendly and helpful.

I especially liked the cabbage ones.

Pros: Cheap, Quick and simple, Delicious

Cons: Only a few varieties

Great cheap dumplings close to Taipei Main Station - Edit

This stall of the Shang Ding chain offers the same as the rest of the stalls that can be found throughout Taipei city: cheap, delicious vegan dumplings.

The woman who attended us spoke some english, which made the ordering process even easier. The menu is simple and reduced: cabbage-filled dumplings and buns, bamboo springs buns and mustard greens buns.

The food is really tasty and can be complemented with the sauces that they offer (some kind of soy sauce and a spicy sauce).

This place is a very worthwhile stop for any vegan travelling in Taipei.

Pros: Extremely cheap, Delicious food

Amazing dumplings - Edit

I love dumplings and it's often difficult to find vegetarian ones where I'm from. These were so tasty and the lady at the stall was quite friendly. I had 3 of the cabbage gyoza shaped ones and the bamboo one for 27 TWD.
Highly recommend for a snack or breakfast and don't forget the child sauce!

Recommended! - Edit

We are 'dumpling fans' so finding this amazing small stand full of dumplings and buns being made at the moment was great. They make three tipes of buns and one of dumplings (same as said in preview review).

A great local and cheap snack! Worth a visit .. - Edit

Oily, puffy and delicious vegetarian baozi (包子). A great local and cheap snack. Each bun costs 10 NT$. Dumplings (饺子) are also very good and they are usually sold in bunch of 10 for 40 NT$, but you can also buy less (each costs 4 NT$).
In Taipei a lot of places that makes baozi also have a vegetarian one, but you are never 100% sure that they don't use lard to cook. This stall is the only one I have encountered so far that only has vegetarian baozi/dumplings. Highly recommended!

Pros: vegetarian only, cheap, delicious local snack

Cons: almost no english spoken
