上頂皇家 is a small stall that sells only vegetarian dumplings and filled bun. Dumplings have one type of filling, while buns have 3 flavors: cabbage, bamboo shoot, and potherb mustard. Food is cooked on a big pan, and the bottom is oily so that they won't stick. A few meters away from Sho Yuan Su Shih vegetarian restaurant. Open Mon-Sat 6:00am-7:00pm.

We are 'dumpling fans' so finding this amazing small stand full of dumplings and buns being made at the moment was great. They make three tipes of buns and one of dumplings (same as said in preview review).

A great local and cheap snack! Worth a visit .. - Edit
Oily, puffy and delicious vegetarian baozi (包子). A great local and cheap snack. Each bun costs 10 NT$. Dumplings (饺子) are also very good and they are usually sold in bunch of 10 for 40 NT$, but you can also buy less (each costs 4 NT$).
In Taipei a lot of places that makes baozi also have a vegetarian one, but you are never 100% sure that they don't use lard to cook. This stall is the only one I have encountered so far that only has vegetarian baozi/dumplings. Highly recommended!
Pros: vegetarian only, cheap, delicious local snack
Cons: almost no english spoken
