Greasy - Edit
Ordered the cauliflower bites to share which tasted like carnival food and were huge pieces of cauliflower. Several pieces also had uncooked batter inside. Came with a buffalo and dill sauce which were fine. I ordered the black bean burger with fries. The fries were outstanding and the burger was not bad. Also had about 4 vegan ice cream flavors. Ordered the vanilla fudge brownie which was not great. Overall the food was fine and I appreciated the vegan options and clearly labeled menu but the food could use some improvement. The place was cool.

Fantastic - Edit
Everything on the menu indicated what it was- vegan, vegetarian , GF- and there were many more vegan options than I expected since the restaurant seems like it’s in the middle of nowhere. Went back several times for the four, drinks, service and atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Best ice cream ever - Edit
We ate outside here twice during our vacation in June. The vibe is very island-y and our child loved that they had a kids play area.
Read moreThe absolute star here is the homemade vegan ice cream. It is way better than the every poplular supermarket brand in the states. The flavors we tried included fudge brownie with blueberry swirl, s'mores, lemon poppy seed cake, peanut butter, caramal candied butter pecan, and rum raisin. The second time we went here we took a bunch of flavors to-go back to our villa.
Pros: ice cream, friendly staff, atmosphere

THE ICE CREAM - Edit
Go for the ice cream! We went back the next day because it was the best ice cream I’ve had and there are so many flavors. We got the lemon poppy seed cake (they make the cake for this) and the s’mores (they toast the marshmallows and make the graham crackers). The base is cashew and oat.
Read moreAs far as food goes, there isn’t much. There is beer battered cauliflower wings with hot sauce and dill dressing. There are 2 veggie burgers that can be made vegan but I was told the bun isn’t vegan.

Don't miss this fun and VERY tasty restaurant! - Edit
This is a fun, colorful, beachy restaurant with a super cool vibe, with an astoundingly high quality of food - completely unexpected. The chef is vegan (although the restaurant is not) and several options are clearly listed as vegan. THE FOOD IS ALL HOMEMADE, INCLUDING THE SAUCES. Everything from the hot sauce and the house dill dressing (served with the beer-battered cauliflower) to the Roasted Red Pepper Aioli (served with the homemade black bean burger) is homemade. It tastes nothing like what you normally get at restaurants. The black bean burger was above and beyond any black bean burger we have ever tasted, truly in a category all of its own. Next time we go, we'll try the sweet potato burger too. Plan on ordering dessert because they've got about a dozen flavors of VEGAN ICE CREAM, ALL HOMEMADE. This ice cream is so far above and beyond the popular brands (Ben & Jerry's, So Delicious, Oatly, etc.) ... this ice cream is incredible. We got rum raisin and a mocha coffee one - can't remember the actual name. We savored each spoonful, remarking just how good it was compared with anything you can buy in a store. The service is friendly and easy-going. The owner was also helping to serve the night we were there and he chatted with us, telling the story of the restaurant - it's got quite a history - very worthy of patronizing this beachy joint - will definitely make this a priority at each visit to St John.

Great place to hang out on a beautiful island! - Edit
Great music, great food, great staff! We couldn’t decide between the black bean burger or the sweet potato burgers so we had both! They were both awesome. Salads were good and they even have vegan ice cream! Lots of flavors, try them all!
