absolutely beautiful! - Edit
absolutely beautiful, yummy food! thank you so much. we had vegan fish and chips, delicious ravioli and then to top it off we had ice cream, sticky toffee and cheesecake. ALL VEGAN. absolutely amazing and the two ladies working were so lovely. I cannot recommend this place anymore, we will definitely be returning every month for a treat!

lovely people - Edit
Shallot is based in an old mill, in an area they rent 3-4 nights a week from The Real Junk Food Project.
Read moreIt's very new and has three mains each night, they ran out of one of these the night we went as there was a big group in, it has an open kitchen which i like and the staff were are really lovely and were delighted to chat.
we had fish and chips and ricotta ravioli and spilt a tomato salad, the fish and chips(with mushy peas) was the better of the two but bother were pretty good. the fish was from a nearby chinese supermarket and the portion was big. the ravioli again was a decent size in a rich tomato sauce. with dishes were tasty and good value.
my only criticism would be high reliance on fake meat/cheese, although these were good, as i would like to see a few healthier options on the menu. we did leave happy but a bit stodgy and unhealthy.
overall would really recommend!
Pros: staff, vegan, good value
