Alright - Edit
There are vegan options and lots of dairy free / gluten free choices too which is great. Might’ve gone on a bad day but didn’t find our food too flavourful which was unfortunate. It’s nice they offer a variety of dishes but I don’t think I would go back personally.

Easy to find vegan options - Edit
I’d eat here again. We had 2 vegan pies for around $18.
Read morePros: They have 2-3 gluten free options for vegans!, Dedicated vegan menu makes it easy to order, Good location for a day in Montville
Cons: Sold out of the GF option we went for, Didn’t add fries to order, we left without them

Decent cheap eats - Edit
A vegan sign caught our eye as we were walking through the town. Was happy to find a more budget-friendly option, Montville is beautiful but since it’s so touristy the restaurants are generally expensive.
Read moreThey have a huge hodgepodge of a menu, so it seems everything can’t possibly be that fresh. The glass cabinets inside are full of different pastries and sweets. Some of the vegan options are readymade in the cabinet and they heat it up.
I had a vegan lasagna and my partner had a curry pie. He wasn’t a big fan of the pastry - it was a gluten free pie and the pastry was soft, but filling was nice. The lasagna was okay, the layer on the bottom was chewy so I left it. Chips and salad were really good though.
Pros: reasonably priced - less than $15 for a meal, cute place with deck looking over the main road, good chips
Cons: food could be fresher and more flavourful
