Veggie bagels are not vegan, friendly and helpful staff

The veggie bagels are not vegan anymore but vegetarian. She was really kind and offered us mashed potatoes. Eventually, we didn't order there. She suggested another restaurant where you can eat vegan burgers.

Pros: Friendly

Cons: No vegan bagels

Ok vegan bagels

I had seen this place on happy cow while researching vegan options in the area. As outlined by the only review here, the vegan options are not discussed anywhere on the menu but the staff were friendly and helpful in describing the vegan patty they can substitute in for the meat. Unfortunately this was overshadowed by the length of time they left our table waiting for our smoothies while they prioritised people coming in for takeout. When the smoothies were finally made they had got my order wrong (however it was tasty). The bagels themselves were not flavourful, more fuel than food. I'd only recommend this place if you were really stuck for food, otherwise look elsewhere.

Pros: Every bagel can be made vegan, Friendly staff, Outside seating

Cons: Left waiting for food while takeout prioritised, Bland bagels , Menu does not outline vegan options

Helpful and knowledgeable

We were so grateful to stumble upon this place. We saw a placard outside with a sign for a vegan option and in a town with seemingly few vegan friendly restaurants we went in. The menu isn’t clearly marked although there are numerous vegetarian options. However, we asked for something vegan and the owner offered us any of the bagels from the menu with alternative ingredients and their vegan patty. We choose two different ones and had the meal deal which included potato wedges and a drink. We followed this up with a plant milk coffee.
We felt reassured when the owner checked his ingredients chart for each bagel and told us what substitutes he could make for the sauces and accompaniments. We were made to feel very welcome by him and his co-worker. They both spoke English too which helped me a lot. (My school french is unfortunately long forgotten)
The bagels were delicious and we really wanted to go back but couldn’t fit it in. A must for a lunch near the centre. It’s also wheelchair friendly with indoor and outdoor seating.

Pros: Vegan options, Friendly and helpful staff, Tasty food

Cons: The menu could be better labelled
