A traditional, 100-year-old croft house with two en-suite guest rooms with panoramic views of the loch and out to Minch and the Western Isles. Seals may be visible at low tide. Highly recommended! - Edit
We stayed for three nights in this lovely B&B on the beautiful Isle of Skye.
Read moreFrom our room we had a lovely view of Loch Pooltiel.
The friendly Colin and Sue provided fantastic vegan breakfast every morning which was brought to the room by Colin.
Every evening after our trip a delicious cake was ready in our room.
Everything is very clearly labeled and there is a folder with very detailed information about allergies.
Very clean and quiet B & B!
Edit May 2024: We stayed at this wonderful B&B again, this time for five nights.
Once again we thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Sue and Colin.
When we planned a trip to St. Kilda, they provided an extensive vegan lunch package that we ordered in advance.
The breakfast is still very extensive and delicious, as are the pastries and cakes every afternoon.

Read moreThe daily breakfast options are plenty and it will be brought to the room, quite some luxury! And in the afternoon there are vegan cookies 🍪😀
The B&B is a bit remote and is reached by a single track file, but is close to a hot spot the Neist Point
Pros: Location, Great hosts , Great food

Very cute lodge/B&B near Neist point - Edit
This place is very nice: the owners (and their dog) are lovely, the breakfast and afternoon sweets are delicious, the area has amazing views (incl. Neist point) and it’s quiet. Perfect for a vegan-friendly get-away!
Read moreWe got the double room, which was quite spacious, although the bathroom was small. The room was equipped with a very small fridge, dishes, cutlery, cereals, plant milk, coffee and tea. Really convenient, since the area is so rural (with single-track roads) that you have limited options for dining or even to get groceries.
Since there aren’t that many (almost) vegan hotels or B&Bs in Scotland, I really recommend Sgarbh for exploring the west of Scotland and enjoying the quiet. Just prepare yourself for some slow driving through the Glendale area and enjoying the great views of Scottish nature.
We also went to Saorsa 1875 in Pitlochry, which is a completely different kind of place. It’s a large and hip hotel with fine-dining and cocktails. It has a city-feel, so less suitable for unwinding than Sgarbh.
