Amazing Place

I loved the concept of this place as it focuses on how food and drink should nourish your body. I had superfood waffles with added avocado and mushrooms and loved every bit of it. My friend had the Love Bomb salad with tofu skewers which was great too. Everything looks and tastes amazing. The atmosphere is really cool but prepare for it to be busy as everyone seems to love it! We had a short wait on a Saturday morning which was well worth it.

Pros: Food that nourishes your body , Delicious , Cool vibe

A bit overrated IMHO

Very tasty food, presentation is great, everything looks appetizing, it was hard to choose.
My friend had the pizza, which she enjoyed very much, and I had the acai bowl, which was good, fresh and tasty, but not exactly what I expected, which is why I was a bit disappointed. Too much granola, not enough acai/berry mix; the equivalent of a scoop of ice cream. I should have gone with the pancakes.
The portions are of a good size though, and me and my friend weren't hungry when we left.
On the expensive side.

Pros: Fresh, tasty and original, Good portions, large choice

Cons: A bit expensive and crowed/noisy

Lovely hidden gem in Burnley

Even though it is not located on the main street in Burnley make sure not to miss this lovely cafe! Very interesting breakfast/lunch options with every dish being vegan...you can't go wrong! Had the superfood waffle which was super tasty and my friend went for the positive pancakes and loved them !😄

Pros: Lovely location, interesting & different menu , YUM!

IT MAKES YOU HAPPY

I visited this cafe when it had just opened back in 2015/2016 and its taken me this long to write the review....

This place hold beautiful bright new age decor and the place it just makes you happy!!

I have enjoyed a number of dishes here throughout my time in Melbourne and I was never disappointed.

The staff are friendly and the menu has a wonderful, but not too much, of a selection,

Each dish has beautiful display and dining here is a very bright experience in itself.

I have given this space a mention in my Blog post as one of the go to locations in the city of Melbourne..

Good menu, healthy food

Serotonin is not in the centre of Melbourne, but it's worth the trek. The menu is not all vegan, but there are plenty of vegan and vegan-option items. I had the Serotonin Burger, $23 – quinoa patty on a beet-based bun, with grilled pineapple, spinach, hummus, house-made mayo and tomato relish, alongside four chickpea chips. The burger doesn’t hold together well, but you have a fork, and the taste is good. I couldn’t resist also ordering the Galaxy Açai bowl, $18 – two scoops of vegan açai ice cream, granola, berries and a Magnum coconut-milk ice cream stick. Wow. And I took away a miso caramel slice, $11, which was delectable. It’s not an inexpensive place, but the food is very good quality. Midday Friday was raucous with a shrieking infant and toddlers wandering about and playing with the provided toys. Dogs are permitted on the outdoor patio. There was a queue to pay at the counter when leaving, a bit of a bottleneck at the entrance.

Pros: lots of vegan items, colourful, attractivef meal presentation

Cons: not centrally located

yumm

Serotonin has become my new favourite brunch spot!! The staff were so friendly and gave great suggestions when I couldn't pick what to order. The Galaxy Acai was incredible and adding peanut butter made it even satiating. Can’t wait to come back and sit on one of the swings with my puppy in the dog friendly courtyard

FAVE PLACE

Every time I am home in Melbourne I make sure i stop in at Serotonin to get something to eat, their food is absolutely incredible, my mouth is watering as i write this thinking about their meals. Emily is a lovely woman who I have spoken with a few times, she cares so much and is so passionate about her cafe that it shines through into her food. Their smoothies and drinks are nothing short of amazing too. Cant wait to visit again!

Pros: EVERYTHING, PANCAKES, AMAZING COFFEE

Lovely food and venue but pricey

I had Mum's Earth Burger, the gingerbread iced latte and the white chocolate and passionfruit tart. Everything was yummy, the burger was especially good but it was expensive. I struggle to justify spending $22 on a burger.
The venue is lovely and light-filled, looking onto a park.

Cutest cafe ever!

This place was just the cutest cafe ever and had such good happy and inviting vibes to it, I got the acai bowl which was amazing but the ice cream they bit in it was a bit odd and don't really go with the dish (just a personal opinion) but my mum did a make your own which all there side options and her meal was amazing!! The service at this cafe was just beyond words and I would defiantely love to come back and would recommend to anyone who wants a lovely meal out ☺️

High standard in grungy chic area

After having seen a magazine cover photo of Serotonin's signature dish - Nutrition Bomb - I was keen to visit even though I live far away.
So, next trip to Melbourne, my husband and I made sure we could fit in a visit.
It was full of lots of young well-dressed people with laptops and mobile phones and has a chic vibe.
The service was friendly and professional.
The food was delicious - mains around the $22 mark.
The Nutrition Bomb was good, not great - maybe my expectations were too high but I make a combination dish like this with more flavour.
There are many raw vegan desserts which we didn't try but it would be easy to pop in for a drink and dessert if you weren't in the mood for a full meal.
The decor is light and breezy and it's obvious that a lot of attention has gone into the creation of this business,
We would definitely visit again.

Pros: Lots of choice, Friendly, professional service, No noise from the train line

Cons: Hard to find if you don't know the area, Super trendy feel

How sweet it is

If you enjoy raw vegan slices, smoothies and superfoods you will love Serotonin. The menu is on trend and is doing a roaring trade with well to do young mums and hipsters and it is priced accordingly.

On my first visit I enjoyed an organic chai latte and super rich Turkish Delight vegan cheesecake, unfortunately too rich to eat more than a third of. The service was fast and friendly and the atmosphere is casual and eco chic.

Pros: Vegan options, Lots of free parking in the area

Cons: Pricey
