Best vegan food I had in Brasov - Edit
A great place to eat if you’re travelling with friends who aren’t vegan and want to sample some traditional Romanian cuisine. Everyone is happy. I had the mushroom stew with polenta. (Seen in a lot of the pictures). The food was yummy and hearty. Enjoyed the dish with a side of pickled cabbage.

Vegan menu in Brașov - Edit
We did struggle in Brasov to find a late opening restaurant with vegan options, but this fit the bill. Sadly, they didn't have the amazing fried mushrooms that I had seen in photos on this site - apparently, they have more vegan options during religious holiday periods.
Read moreI had the polenta and mushroom Stew. It was v tasty - all in all, a solid choice in a place where there isn't heaps of choice!

De Post Menu - Edit
Some lovely traditional options such as fried cabbage and mushroom stew. Friendly waiter. Pleasant restaurant environment. Be aware they bring a meat appetizer so if you aren't in a mixed group say you are veggie/vegan

C'était délicieux et accessible ! - Edit
Le plateau vegetarien de trois sauces et le ragoût de légumes et champignons avec mamaliga étaient très bons ! Il faudrait que leur menu de post complet soit disponible toute l'année:)

Traditional Romanian vegan dishes - Edit
Several vegan options on the restaurants "fasting menu". I had a lovely mushroom stew with polenta. Their natural apple juice was divine! Centrally located in Brasov. The website said fully booked the same day, but when we arrived and asked they had no trouble getting us a seat.

Really nice restaurant - Edit
IMPORTANT! Tell them as the very first that you are vegetarian or vegan, when you ask for a table. As a default, they will give you bread and some pork chunk at the table. So to avoid the pork, tell them that you don't eat that.
Read moreBesides from that, this is a really nice restaurant. They play traditional, romanian music, the staff are nice and also dress traditional. They have a fast/vegetarian section in the menu, where the most options are vegan too. The rest of the menu have vegan options too, but aren't labeled, so you have to look around.
This restaurant is definitely worth a visit. And it is cheap too.
Pros: Many vegan options, Cheap, Plays nice music
Cons: Serves pork as free starter, Vegan options not labeled

Typical traditional place offering a few vegan dishes which have a dedicated page in the menu ("de post"). Great fries, like my grandma used to make. Everything was tasty.

Unique atmosphere great mushroom stew - Edit
Definitely come here while in Brasov! We ordered the cabbage with polenta and the mushroom stew with polenta. I did not care for the cabbage but the mushroom stew was great! The fasting menu has several options to choose from for authentic Romanian food. Also allergens are clearly listed for every menu item. This restaurant also provides a unique experience and is underground. The people working there wear traditional clothes. Also, as we were leaving there was a whole group of people going inside to play music. If anything come for the experience! Make sure to let them know you are vegan before sitting because if not they will bring you a plate of pork to start.
