Some of the best vegan food in San Diego

The attention to detail and texture runs throughout the ample vegan options. This is a kitchen that understands catering to clients, not their own ego. Dishes that at other restaurants would be "almost vegan" here are made to be inclusive of a variety of dietary needs.

The beet salad is made, by default, with a dairy free almond creme. The crispy eggplant is breaded with gluten free crumbs so more people can enjoy. The seasonal vegetables–which are so much more than the usual side of roasted leftovers–are always vegan. On my recent visit the vegetable was a gorgeous roasted sweet potato covered in pumpkin seed brittle with chorizo spices. Brilliant!

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Clearly marked vegan

Beautiful and delicious

I had the beet salad as an appetizer and the roasted cauliflower as my entree. They were both listed under the appetizer section but the portions were huge. The food was beautifully presented and and incredibly tasty. We sat outside looking out at the ocean. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Appreciate vegan options at this fine dining restaurant!

I am so grateful to finally enjoy a nice dinner with my husband while on vacation in San Diego. Ambiance is amazing! This restaurant is stunning! Service was second to none and I so appreciate the vegan options. Actually had a pasta entree (didn’t have to order from the sides menu). Appetizer was delicious roasted cauliflower with crispy chickpeas. I did notice a couple of vegetarian and gluten free options as well. Restaurant is located in the Hotel Del Coronado.

Pros: Vegan and vegetarian options

Cons: None
