Ugly but yummy - Edit
With only two or three cakes, the menu at this small vegan cafe is quite small. But their selection of cakes varies day by day and some feature unconventional combinations like chocolate & black sesame, green tea & lemon, mugwort & chocolate. Note that the cakes may sell out towards the end of the day. They also offer hand-drip coffee and a few teas.
Read moreThe cakes here are rather simple, consisting of 2 layers of cake with cream in between and on top. When you eat in, they serve it garnished with some extra toppings, e.g. crumbles, nuts or fresh strawberries.
For me, the taste was surprisingly nice: The cake layer was very soft and fluffy! The cream was light and juicy. Not too sweet, in my opinion. Overall, hand-made and home-style baking that is vegan and mostly gluten-free.
Prices are a bit lower than average, friendly prices for the students in this area.
The location is also simple and small, with only four tables for sitting. The interior is a bit dark, but it has its own flair. #Veganuary
Pros: taste ok, price nice, friendly owners
Cons: seating a bit uncomfortable, visual presentation
