Hearty brunch

Handy location not far from the bus station - it's on Commercial St not Union St as was shown on Happy Cow. I didn't have much time and went for the first thing the waitress suggested for a vegan, which was flatbread with beans and avocado (without the eggs). The kitchen offered me some vegan sausages instead. My meal was filling and tasty, and the service was very good.

Poor for allergies

*i try follow a vegan diet apart from eggs. I have a dairy allergy.

Disappointing breakfast after such high anticipation.

Asked the waitress to check if their scrambled eggs were made with dairy, was advised they had cream in. Tried to order scrambled eggs without dairy on sourdough due to an allergy to be advised the scrambled eggs are pre-prepared and the kitchen is unable to do this.

This goes against everything advertised on their website and menu. According to the website everything is freshly prepared and cooked so I’m unsure why the kitchen struggled to crack and scramble eggs without adding cream.

Ended up ordering sourdough with jam only to send it back to the kitchen as it was pre-buttered. I advised the staff numerous times about my allergy so this could have been serious had I not checked and just assumed this was a vegan friendly spread.

Needless to say a very disappointing visit.

Pros: Orange juice was nice

Cons: Lack of care toward allergies , Goes against their ethos

served me non-vegan food which they told me was vegan

I went here for breakfast yesterday morning. I ordered the vegan huevos rancheros, which came out made non-vegan. when i asked if they were vegan, it was insisted that they were. i ended up unintentionally eating eggs. thankfully, they did give me half off, but the fact that it was insisted upon being vegan upset me.

excellent, tasty food

This cafe is not vegan but has a few options on a special vegan menu. Had a very delicious Buddha bowl that felt very healthy, was extremely tasty, a bit unusual and was just enough for a filling lunch. Certainly worth a visit if you're looking for a good vegan meal. A touch pricy possibly and seem to be a lot of avocado involved (though meals can be adapted). Great service from friendly and helpful staff

Pros: delicious vegan food, friendly staff

Delicious

There are a few vegan options at this modern, busy, friendly place. I had a beetroot hummus on sourdough with salads. It was really delicious and the salads were interesting and varied- lemon peas for example. Everything tasted really fresh. The buddha bowl sounds great too. There was also a vegan cake option (not shown on the online menu) when we went - also very tasty. It got very busy while we were there and some tables were reserved so it might be worth getting a reservation. Website says dog friendly.

Pros: Fresh interesting vegan options, Good atmosphere , Excellent coffee

Cons: Service was a little slow (but worth the wait)
