Great flavors, great for sharing - Edit
We had a lovely meal here. As other reviewers have pointed out, just make sure you tell the staff that you are vegan, and they are happy to adapt the dishes for you, or serve you cheese on the side if you are with other non-vegans.

Best of its kind, vegan aware - Edit
Update: still great as of January 2025, now with explicit mention of vegan options on the menu.
Read moreWe love Eritrean-Ethiopian food and Semhar is definitely the best of its kind that we know. All the vegetarian dishes and the injera (pancakes) are vegan, and if you ask for the vegetarian combination (BEBEANETU) to be vegan, they're happy to oblige, and it comes without goat cheese. And it's fantastic!

Nice African restaurant - Edit
Ask for the vegan way to eat and they will leave out the feta. It’s delicious and a great experience to eat here.
