Delicious takoyaki experience - Edit
I made vegan takoyaki myself at home a lot, but never tried „the real deal“. So I was blown away by the creamy moist texture and flavors of the ones here. Feels nice to learn something and the owner helps you flipping them if you are in trouble.

Delicious food and the friendliest staff - Edit
The vegan Takoyaki available at this do-it-yourself standing restaurant is absolutely delicious! The friendly bilingual staff is very helpful. Toppings include vegan mayonaise, vegetable-sauces and loads of (vegan) spices. There is cheap alcohol available, too.

EXCEPTIONAL - Edit
The staff are so lovely, the food is excellent. It’s a must try for an Osaka experience.
Read moreStaff very informative on the differences between vegan and vegetarian, and gave explanation of what different types of things are used (even changed the oil)
They use different utensils for each as well, so no cross-contamination.

Tasty and fun - Edit
I loved this place! The vegan takoyaki was delicious, and we'll advertised. The lady working (I didn't catch her name) was super kind and engaged my elementary Japanese in a really helpful way. It is very small, though. I am travelling solo but when I went there was a pretty big group of other tourists all together. There's maybe standing room for 8 people and four takoyaki grills, and making the takoyaki takes about 20 minutes.

Pros: Super tasty, Well advertised vegan options, Kind owner

Delicious and a great experience - Edit
This tiny little bar is standing room only, but it creates such a cool atmosphere as everyone works hard to make their perfect Takoyaki. Super fun experience learning to cook the Takoyaki and it tastes amazing. Worth noting that it wasn’t open when we went at 5:30pm but luckily we doubled back and it was open later. I asked the owner and she said sometimes she opens a bit later around 6:00pm. Also, she ran out of the vegan Takoyaki ingredients after we ordered our third helping (around 11pm), so don’t get there too late to avoid missing out! Would be 5 stars if it were completely veg.

Great experience making your own Takoyaki. It cost 1300 for 16 balls, I think. Price is fair I think. I would give it 5 stars actually.

Great place to chat with locals and learn to cook takoyaki! Love that they offer vegan/veg options! I also got some vegan snacks which were delicious. The chef also helped me learn some new Japanese words which I’m very grateful for.

Best local experience you can get as a vegan! - Edit
This was so much fun! Had really nice chats with the locals at the bar and other backpackers while I ate 2 portions and got drunk because the beer is so cheap there! Taste was amazing (especially the vegan mayonnaise). It was fun to do this by your own (not really on my own -> the owner helped me because it’s quite difficult). Funny and lovely people over there and it‘s very cheap compared to other vegan restaurants in Japan. Definitely recommend this place!

I really wanted to rate this place 5stars, but since they also offer vegetarian option happycow doesn't allow it. But you should really go there, it is so nice! You stand kinda in the middle of the road and can learn how to make your own takoyaki. We also didn't have to wait.

Would give 5 stars if happy cow allowed it for non-fully-vegan cafes/restaurants. I only paid ¥1000 and got to make my very own vegan takoyaki?! it was awesome, tasty, super fun, had great staff working and will return again!

Great opportunity to try Takoyaki! - Edit
Eating here was a really great experience - not only is the food delicious but we had loads of fun making our own takoyaki! The vegan option does suffer from the classic vegan tax and costs 200jpy more than the vegetarian and meat options but it is still an inexpensive food experience.

So happy this place exists - Edit
Great little DIY takoyaki bar. It was really fun getting to make them ourselves and attempt to flip them over in the pan (a lot harder than it looks!) The owner was so friendly and helpful, and there were a few lively locals there which made a great atmosphere. It's open late so was perfect for an evening snack. Vegan mayo is spot on.

Vegan Takoyaki - Edit
I would give this place 5 stars if I could but sadly they serve meat too. The food is great, make your own takoyaki with all the trimmings, including vegan mayo. It was fun to do, the food was delicious and it was really cheap! What more could you ask for? I definitely recommend. As a result of this experience we went out and bought a takoyaki pan for our home!

I think everyone needs to check this bar out! The staff are funny and accommodating, and making your own Takoyaki (or at least trying to in my case) is so much fun. Even if you are by yourself, the locals like to chat and laugh. Very cheap food and drinks and they even have vegan kewpie mayo.

Stand up meals on the street - Edit
Perfect for a late night bite or to try something different. Takoyaki is the only dish available and apparently originated in Osaka so this is the place to try the local quisine. They taste great especially with vegan kewpie mayo. Not the place if you want a traditional restaurant where you can sit down. Iduco is very small and only fits about 8 people.
