Four course vegan menu. Great location, great presentation, decent taste. - Edit
There is a pretty expensive (CHF 63) four course "Wellness" menu available inside and outside. The presentation and service were impeccable, but while the salad and soup were excellent, the Thai curry and the dessert were pretty boring. On the plus side, you have a great view of the lake and the many steamers coming and going to the nearby landing. I'd give it 3.5 stars.

surprising and good choice - Edit
This is a restaurant at the Seehotel Waldstätterhof Brunnen, right on the waterfront by the Brunnen boat docks. The restaurant is modern and well-appointed.
Read morePrices are right up the middle for Swiss dining standards, which is almost a surprise given the location, view, and menu quality. Indeed, they're slightly cheaper than I'd have expected.
The restaurant is very aware of vegetarian food — which is rare in many parts of Switzerland — and actually has multiple options, which is rarer still. To further push the rarity, the dishes have been prepared with some thought, rather than just subtracting the meat or tossing together some indifferent carbohydrates.
The service is outstanding: proper and solicitous, not what it could so easily have been (stiff or snooty) given the posh restaurant and fancy hotel surroundings.
Overall, a really pleasant surprise. I virtually never eat at the restaurant in a hotel where I'm staying, but the veggie options had already made me very curious; the view compounded it; and the poor weather outside sealed the deal. No regrets at all: this was a winner.
