Delicious food at a beautiful hidden retreat - Edit
You don’t come to Seeds unless you’re staying at Balila. The food is delicious. Every day they have the regulars and 1 or 2 specials that can be made vegan. The staff is incredibly friendly.

Great view, but not special - Edit
Seeds is a guesthouse restaurant away from town that can be difficult and hazardous to find. Google maps will take you down dirt paths through trash mounds if you’re not careful.
Read moreThe location is quite nice and staff friendly and knowledgeable about Veganism. However, they offer the same food as elsewhere and I found the curry not to be better. With the potatoes it was slightly filling but watered down. There are a couple options for desert and the arrak chocolate was a nice end.
I don’t think I’d come back because of the difficult navigation and standard offering with slightly higher quality at double the price.
Pros: Good view
Cons: Difficult navigation / driving, Standard options

Small menu - Edit
Tiny restaurant with only 3 tables at Balila beach resort. We walked along the beach from Green Lemon and it took us 25 minutes. Staff are lovely. We had the jackfruit rendang and the beregedi corn fritters. A lovely spot for an intimate lunch/dinner. At night, you may want a taxi back as a section of the beach is very rocky and unlit.

Beautiful oasis - Edit
I love coming to Balila, it is so beautiful and calm there. The restaurant Seeds has a great menu with changing specials daily. I usually come for lunch or a yoga class and spend the day enjoying the infinity pool or the beach. Most dishes are vegetarian by default. Sometimes they have a fish special from the local fishermen. They have a garden on site to make amazing salads, and homemade noni shots. I usually order the tempeh and moringa soup, and the French fries are delicious. Lots of raw chocolate truffles for dessert and a raw vegan snakefruit apple pie.
