A bit of a disappointment to be honest. I read a bunch of great reviews about it when it was all plant-based, but something has obviously changed because they are now omni and the vegan options aren’t all that good. They even still have a quote from Greta Thunberg on their website right below the part where they say they’ve got some nice angus beef. Gross.
Read moreWe got the poke bowl and the pizza. Neither were something I would go back for. And the poke bowl was a bit weird. Think the ratio of pickled veg to other types of veg was a bit off. The coffee was a bit off as well. The oat milk curdled instantly when they poured it in and they sort of just pretended not to notice. Would probably not go back.

Always nice to have the possibility to visit a vegan restaurant. Especially outside the city. Seeds is going for a chill beach bar vibe and has a lot of options in bowls, cakes, burgers and more. They also serve alcohol. Super nice place, though I’m not sure that Seeds should call itself fully vegan, since it seems that some of the food is prepared at the neighbor restaurant that also serves meat. It’s also quite expensive: 70 euros for two burgers and three small beers. The burgers were also soggy and lukewarm.

Seeds was on our way out of town when traveling from Oslo to Nome, Norway and we are so happy to have found it. The menu is diverse and super yummy. The service was personable and the atmosphere is lovely. We sat on the back patio with a view of the community garden and it was delightful. We tried a few items on the savory menu, 2 desserts and hot drinks -- everything was really good. We highly recommend checking out Seeds.

There are actually 2 locations of the Seed cafe. One is in the shopping mail called Fornubu S and the original Seed cafe. I had a lovely small diner at the original Seed Cafe. This location does have a cosy seating area inside and also an amazing outdoor lounge area with a wonderful view. Many small birds were accompanying me, looking for crumbs....

Ok burger right from the supermarket - Edit
It is always nice to find vegan options in Norway. But the burgers seem to be mostly from ready made ingredients right from the neighboring supermarket. Staff seemed not very skilled. Even ketchup and salt came in single packages. Lots of waste.

The Umami burger is my third favorite 🍔 in Oslo in general after Umami - Kverneriet and only burger at The Vandelay (that is not veg at all, sorry). Therefor being my favorite vegan burger place in the Oslo area. All the burgers are good with some delicious sweet potato 🍟
Perfect place to visit for a stroll before or after, or just for the food. It’s parking next to it and changing table in the bathroom. See you there

A must visit in Fornebu - Edit
A great place to chill and drink a good cup of coffee or have a full meal. I had the fungi bowl that was so colourful and delicious, I recommend it. Service was top. Afterwards you can go for a walk by the stunning fjord.
