My husband and I were in town in May and knew we had to bring our boys someday. Living in a smaller townnout kids have never had a vegan breakfast in a restaurant. Just brought them and everything was excellent. Plus the chillequilles were GF! Boys LOVED the pancakes and Breakfast burritos are massive! We will bring them back for sushi and burgers!

stopped in 11/27/23 and order 3 sushi rolls and musabi. All were delicious. Only in town for a week and wish we had discovered earlier, instead of our last day.

Thank you guys for existing. Im so greatful you guys are doing what you do. I have had breakfast and burritos here. Great tasting food, full of wholesome flavor. Reasonal prices, huge portions. A lot of people think vegan is just salads and avacodo toast, its not. I have taken a couple friends burrito and they just ate it and didn't know it was different, till after I told them. They also have vegan sushi, and various items. Friendly service every time. They have good salsa also. Ventura County is know for having good burritos and tacos sonim glad this place keeps standards high. Every time I visit Ventura this is a must stop.

Read moreI learned that they converted to 100% plant based menu over a year ago. I was looking for a 100% plant based restaurant for a quick late lunch. I decided on the Eel Roll. It was delicious. I like the different ingredients in the roll and the unagi sauce. The roll come with sushi ginger and wasabi. Soy sauce packets are available at the counter.

Vegan heaven no matter your craving - Edit
This place has so many options and all the ones I tried with my friends were great. We each got a fancy sushi roll and they were all amazing. We also split nachos with soyrizo. I can’t wait to come back to try the breakfast burrito!

My first time dining here, as I live on the East Coast, but came highly recommended from my sister, who lives part-time in Ventura, who described it as “fast food vegan”. I think she under sold it as only two items were deep-fried, those being the french fries, which were cooked perfectly, and tortilla chips, which tasted home-made. Between the three of us, I had a patty melt, which was absolutely scrumptious with oozing melted cheese and mustard, extra pickles, and a generous amount of sautéed onions. Another entrée was the Chile Relleno with a whole, roasted chili, stem intact, which had great fresh flavor and texture. Third entrée were the fish tacos with all the toppings of cabbage and homemade tomato salsa. Visually couldn’t tell the difference, and generous wedges of lemon wrapped in foil were appreciated. The pozole soup was tasty and authentically prepared with lots of herbs and sides of dried chili flake and oregano. A Horchata was split among us, which was the real deal, and we finished with a delicious root beer float, which was generously sized with the ice-cream to soda ratio being spot on. All employees including owner, were kind and courteous, service was quick, prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend!

This place is in a weird location but don’t let that deter you, the food was great! We ordered the loaded hotdog, animal fries, avocado sushi, blta sandwich, fish and chips, and vanilla milkshake. It came out fast and tasted great! They also have all day breakfast and the entire menu is vegan. Definitely recommend!

Vegan here 30 years. I had the potato taquitos with delicious guacamole and great tasting vegan sour cream. We also ordered a chicken quesadilla and chicken burrito. Very generous servings. Next time I am trying their sushi rolls.

This was our first trip here, and we both went with the fried vegan comfort food.  one of us had the chicken, buffalo ranch, and the other had the fish tacos. And very much enjoyed it. We look forward to trying other items on the menu.

This is an absolute gem. I happily travel 45min each way about once a month or so. It's a major treat and just about everything I've ever gotten has been fantastic. Faves include the patty melt, regular fries, buffalo wings, fish and shrimp tacos, and rainbow roll.
Read moreUpdate: sea ranger is still reliably great. Their menu has expanded a ton, however, and some items have occasionally been more of a miss for me. The beef quesadilla for example uses the same meat and cheese as their burgers, so it felt like a burger quesadilla, kinda weird. I recommend their burgers (esp. patty melt) and sushi for sure tho, even if the rolls are kind of hard to eat in one bite cause they're so big

Fantastic Find! - Edit
My partner and I found this place on a trip to Santa Barbara, and really enjoyed our selections. I was in the mood for an old fashioned fish sandwich, and he got shrimp and loaded tacos. The shrimp had perfect flavor and mouthfeel, and my fish was crunchy and delicious. Luis, the owner, is friendly and helpful. We loved the incredible flavors! Highly recommend 👍
