Cute hip cafe w decent food - Edit
Big menu all vegan which was exciting, unfortunately the entrees i has were just okay. I had the eggplant po boy which was just okay. Bread was stale. Eggplant seemed like it had been fried hours prior and just assembled prior to serving. Gumbo was tomato based and yummy. Quesadilla was good with some nice dipping sauces, I keep forgetting that I don’t like Daiya cheese, though. Samosa cheesecake was decadent and sweet and creamy.

A must when visiting NOLA! - Edit
This was by far the best vegan food we had during our 1-week stay in NOLA, simply delicious! I can highly recommend the Nuggets as a starter, and the BBQ Sandwich, my boyfriend enjoyed the Poboy very much! The beignets are also delicious. Staff is super nice, the atmosphere is great and there is a vegan shop next door. It really is a must when you're in NOLA.

Best Vegan PoBoys - Edit
Being originally from New Orleans I grew up with Poboys being part of our regular cuisine. Since moving away and going vegan I’ve never been able to fill that poboy shaped hole in my heart. That was until Seed came into my life. I go every time I’m in town, usually several times actually.

The Best vegan food! - Edit
This is some of the best food I’ve ever had, comparing vegan and non-vegan food! Everything is delicious. My non-vegan boyfriend and I had several different items on two different occasions, and everything was perfect. We were on vacation, and stumbled across this place from HappyCow. Our favorite item was the southern fried nuggets, tofu, with the cashew queso! Even my boyfriend still rants & raves about them! I wish I had this place where I lived. I want to go back to visit New Orleans just to eat at Seed!

Fantastic! - Edit
Everyone in NOLA, vegan and non vegan, told us to visit Seed. It's clearly the most famous veggie place in the city, and from my experience, it's also the best!
Read moreTheir menu is a nice balance of health and comfort foods. My omni-friend joined and he also loved it!
We had great cocktails, and their chilli cheese fries are a must!
It's an impressive and varied menu and I wish I had time to visit more than once.
Top marks to the staff for being wonderful too!

Amazing Beignets and Tofu - Edit
This restaurant was amazing! The whole menu is vegan and everything we had was delicious. Definitely get the fried tofu nuggets, you won't regret it. Honestly, I'm still dreaming about their agave mustard and VEGAN beignets. Highly recommended, and we'll definitely go back the next time we're in town!

Expensive, weird combination - Edit
I ordered pasta with eggplants, but didn’t expect it to be pasta with fried eggplant patties. Thought the combination was weird, but it still was somehow tasty. Paid 28 USD (incl. tax & gratitude) for the dish and a mango lassi.

A fine vegan Nola experience - Edit
I’m still thinking about the pressed juice, gumbo, étouffée, red beans/rice, and beignets my wife and I had. New Orleanian classics done right. The atmosphere is lively and insightful.

Not all dishes are good. - Edit
I ordered Eggplant pomodoro. It actually tasted very bad. That taste was like made with a half-washed cast iron fry pan, or tasted like iron rust itself, and the noodle was crumble. It was the worst dish during my visit in New Orleans. It would have made my mood better if the server kindly asked me why I left so much portion and tried to fix it, but they didn't. Another restaurant did that in my past. I could have given them one star, but I left another to encourage their future improvement.

An Oasis in NOLA - Edit
There aren't too many pure vegetarian/vegan places near the French Quarter so Seed was a godsend. It was nice to be able to try some gumbo in New Orleans that wasn't loaded with meat! I really enjoyed my meal here. Service was also great and the space is nice and airy.

Confused - Edit
Sat down with my water bottle at the table and waited for a little, then I decided to get Togo instead. There was still no service at my table so I went to the bar to order. Left my table to use the restroom and came back to a cleaned off table and my water bottle disappeared. The vibe was weird. It was like I wasn’t wanted there. When I asked where my water bottles went they went to the kitchen and gave them back to me covered in water? Beignets were delicious. Southern nuggets were bland and not at all crispy and the queso was bad too just tasted like nutritional yeast and water.

Great food and the only place with vegan beignets. The Poboys are delicious. Huge portions and good service. There are several good vegan options in NOLA, however I now make it my goal to eat here everyday I’m in town

If you use Happy Cow are visiting or living in New Orleans and don’t come here, you missed out on Vegan Heaven. I had the southern fried poboy, cup of gumbo, chocolate mousse and an an adult beverage called the Pineapple Express. You get the tradition of New Orleans!!! By the way, It’s walking from the WW2 museum. I spent the day there and walked here an amazing meal.

Comfort food - Edit
Seed has some really good comfort food options. I tried the chickpea batter chick'n nuggets w/ garlic aioli and the vegan mac n cheese. Everything was really good. They also have a bar and can make a really tasty vegan bloody mary.
