Good food!

Went twice during our stay in New Orleans. Tried gumbo, a great roasted carrot salad (with spinach and seeds and avocado), eggplant poboy and sesame encrusted grilled tofu . Other choices looked good too.

Pros: Good portions, Tasty, Variety

Fantastic food in cosy surroundings

Fantastic food. Kind staff. Marvelous service. Cosy Baywater neighbourhood with old houses close to French Quarter. We liked the chickpeas sallad, strong pad thai made from curled cucumber and green sallads. Also tried the other Seed restaraunt on the other side of French Quarter. Same food but less buzz and in a cosy neighbourhood. We went to Seed 4 days during our week long stay in New Orleans.

Pros: Food made with good ingredients and love

Cons: -

Impressed!

We visited once and went back for dinner or lunch every day until we felt we'd thoroughly explored the menu. Breakfast on the weekend was wonderful. I've been vegan for 19 years and love to cook. I appreciate the effort they've put into the menu selections at Seed and the quality of the food. .

Pros: Food, Service, Atmosphere

Delicious and great menu

So excited to find out this restaurant is near my hotel. I had the tofu Po Boy and it was really good! The tofu was crispy and had great flavor. The cheesecake of the day was Samoa and was also delicious. Prices were very reasonable for decent size portions. Enjoy!

Pros: Lots of option, Delicious , Has raw choices

Pleasant but not great

It’s always a bonus to travel & find a vegan restaurant close by so when we found Seed we had high hopes. We stopped by to have coffee & king cake (a local Mardi Gras tradition) we them came back for dinner. The atmosphere is fresh & clean . The food we had, Po boy & Carrot & avocado salad could have been better in truth. The Po was bland & the salad overly sweet. We didn’t finish either, however, the kale salad that went with the Po was delicious as were the Artichoke cakes we started with so it could simply be a reflection of our order choices. All in all a bit hit and miss for our European tastes.

Pros: Fresh & clean space, Easy vibe

Cons: We found the food too bland

It’s ok

There are a lot of great ideas on the menu. The staff is really friendly and outgoing. However, the taste is the most important thing for me. The food we ordered was pretty bland. Coming from California, where there are so many vegan restaurants and variety and tons of flavor, this wasn’t very good that I’d come back. It’s the only place in NOLA that has vegan beignets so that’s a plus. Beignets are a treat originating from NOLA so it’s a bit disappointing to not be able to get vegan beignets so easily unlike in California. The beignets are the same taste-wise, largely because of the powdered sugar but the texture is completely different from the original. The ones here are thin, crunchy and hollow- whereas the original is fluffy, thick and slightly dense.

Absolute must eat if you're visiting NOLA

Delicious food approved by omni boyfriend! We already decided we are going to come back for another meal. We happened upon to be there for brunch time which is on saturdays and sundays from open to 3pm. Vegan breakfast can be so hard to find so we were really stoked to have it!

Pros: Great food, Good/creative cocktails, Great/friendly service

Cons: Servings on the smaller side for price, Pricey drinks, but they're craft cocktails

Just Awesome

Brought my non-vegan parents here, and, while they were sceptical... they loved it! Everything on the menu is absolutely divine (can attest to this as we are nearly everything on the menu). I particularly loved the Southern Fried Nuggets, beignets, chocolate mousse, and mac n cheese. You won’t regret coming here!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Delicious, Great service

A NOLA must visit!

I went out of my way (opposite direction of my hotel) to try this place out and I am glad I did! The Vegetable etouffee was awesome!! Spicy and full of New Orleans flavor!! The "cheese" cake is to die for (shout out to Girls Gone Vegan!!) it was hard to believe that it was non dairy. HIGHLY recommended as the staff was very friendly and helpful with the recommendations (thanks Tammy)!

Pros: Tasty food, Delectable desserts

Cons: Not open for breakfast

Seed is always a great call, I'm so glad there's a second one now! The space is lovely and there were a couple of menu items I hadnt seen at the other one (hello jackfruit and black bean bowl!)
The staff was so friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this location!
Their special last night was pancakes and I love that for a night time special, so fun and tasty!
