This place would get five stars, but they only accept cash or German cards so that can be a hassle for some. Also I thought this place was fully vegan? Anyway, the dishes and the combination of flavours are amazing and the location is really harmonic and situated nicely too, right within the heart of the popular Munich old town! Staff was also really friendly and if you’re not into sushi there’s plenty of other delicious options on the menu! Big recommend!

Read moreDas Sushi (unsere Vorspeise) war umwerfend. Und sicher, mit Abstand dass beste Sushi das ich je hatte.
Das Hauptgericht und die Nachspeise waren so wie die Getränke sehr gut.
Die Zutaten sehr frisch, die Zugsamenstellung raffiniert und komplex, und der Geschmack klasse. Alles hat harmoniert, so das wir trotz schärfe, sehr feine Aromen schmecken konnten. Meistens denke ich mir bei Resturanbesuchen, dass ich dieses und jene Gericht besser umgesetzt hätte können. Doch hier ist die Expertise der Küche beeindruckend.
Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Es ist aber sehr zu empfehlen, nicht auf der Straße zu essen. Dort Roch es sehr unangenehm (nach Fäkalien), man hat Fußgänger um sich, und die harten Stühle wackeln genau so wie die Tische. Im Innenraum dagegen ist es traumhaft schön. Die Wand- und Deckendekor ist interessant, ohne Aufdringlich zu sein. Die Tischdekor besteht aus einer frischen, reinen, sauberen, einfachen und sehr dezenten Pflanzenstiel. Die Hauptgericht Steinschalen haben die Atmosphäre toll bereichert.
Doch neben sehr bequemen Stühlen, war das Highlight der Tisch. Im Innenraum des Tisches wurde eine ästhetische Landschaft gebildet.
Ansonsten war die Musik zwar nicht authentisch, aber auch nicht schlecht, oder zu laut, und die Bestuhlung hatte sehr angenehm viel Luft.
Zusammengefasst: Unbedingt im Innenraum essen!

I went to this restaurant for lunch and they have so many menus to choose from at a set price. The sushi was delicious, and the drinks too! The staff was also very nice, the atmosphere is very curated. A little hidden gem!
Read moreEDIT: I went again with my family and was disappointed they did not accept my Visa Debit card (valid EC card from a German bank) because “it is like a credit card”. When I inquired why they won’t accept it when I can pay everywhere else with it as a normal EC card, the waiter silently answered that it was for “tax reasons”. I don’t think I’ll come back, I wanted to treat my family and it was embarassing to ask them for money because I did not have enough cash with me.

Many options, cute interior and backyard garden. Do not sit in the street in the front if you can avoid it.

The food is tasty but some dishes my stomach did not appriciate as much.
The prices outside the lunch menu are much higher so I recommend to try it during lunch.
They have nice lemonades / drinks, which are overpriced though I think.

We came here for dinner on Christmas day. Service was quick and friendly and the sushi platter for 2 was outstanding. Probably the best sushi I've ever had outside Japan. The starter, too, was really good. The desserts weren't our favourites, but didn't impact the overall experience. The interior is nice and although it's a big restaurant, it doesn't feel like it. I'd normally deduct a star, because they take cash and EC card only, which means as a tourist you need to go past an ATM on the way there, but the food was too good here to let the outdated payment methods annoy me.

The food was OK. We had the curry duck and a curry tofu dish. The curry tofu dish advertised soy mince as an ingredient and it was missing. The noodles in the soup were overcooked. The curry duck was very good but the rice that came with it was overcooked.
Nice staff, but the credit card issue had us leave with a sour taste in our mouths.

Absolutely gorgeous restaurant, very friendly staff and the vegan sushi for 4 people was super good, not your generic avocado/cucumber maki rolls, but they use very interesting ingredients, such as fresh asparagus, enoki mushrooms, purple whole grain rice, pumpkin or sweet potato purree, so a lot of flavours and textures to discover. Don't expect authentic Japanese cuisine here and both your taste buds and eyes will be satisfied, in my opinion it is worth the price. I went here with three adult men and none of them complained that it was too little or that they got hungry afterwards, but we got smashed at the Christmas market afterwards so can't really comment on that tbh.

Das Essen im Secret Garden ist super lecker und kein Sushi "von der Stange". Das Menü für zwei Personen bietet eine gute Auswahl an unterschiedlichen Geschmacksrichtungen. Einzig der Preis lässt mich einen Stern abziehen. Der ist für mich nur etwas für sehr besondere Anlässe. (Die Platte "Glückseligkeit für zwei" kostet 48 Euro)
