Incredible vegan sushi - Edit
We had heard very good things about this place and we wanted to try it, and the truth is that it did not disappoint. We were overwhelmed by the number of vegan sushi dishes and options on the menu, perhaps used to having to order the avocado and cucumber sushi in all conventional establishments... and in the end we chose the Happiness for two, which was a Tasting menu for two people, very varied and tasty and everything was very good, starting with the presentation on a multi-layered tray and with a glass that gave off smoke. I will definitely be back.

I've been here probably 5 times in the past 5 years, and I'm blown away every time. If you like creative vegan sushi rolls in a pretty setting, this is the place. Also try the "pork belly" takitori skewers.

Ich bin jedes Jahr mindestens einmal in Berlin und besuche jedesmal das Secret Garden. Weil ich ein größer Freund war.
Read moreBei meinem letzten Besuch am Freitag waren die 8 Outside Rolls für 9,90€ nur noch so groß wie Makis und geschmacklich nichts besonderes (mehr).
Die Sate oder Yakitorispieße haben wohl verducht Schweinespeck zu immitieren, wenn ich das gewusst hätte... Diesen Geschmack mag ich garnicht mehr.
Insgesamt habe ich 16,50 € bezahlt für eine Miniportion die geschmacklich durchschnittlich war und höchstens als Vorspeise durchgeht.
Ich werde nicht mehr dorthin gehen.
Pros: Komplett vegan, Auswahl, Ambiente
Cons: Teuer, Geschmacklich mittelmäßig, Portionen viel zu klein für den Preis

Very unexpected and tasty flavour combinations. If you order over 16 pieces of sushi you get them with a mysterious little extra 😉. It is on the first floor of a building, so if you wouldn’t know it’s there you might walk past it.

I was never in a vegan sushi restaurant, but I love sushi a lot so I gave it a try. There is not a lot space in the restaurant, some tables are really tight, but if you don’t struggle with it, you should try it! You can find the restaurant upstairs, over the vegan supermarket.

The food was delicious! We tried different smaller dishes and it was really fun to eat through all this creations!
The summer rolls with peanut sauce are my favourite side order beside the crunchy tofu sticks with the pink dip (raspberry). i also had the happy dragon sushi and the angry samurai as well. The mango chilli on the angry samurai was fantastic!
Prices for side orders are around 6,50 € and main dishes around 12,50 €. We had no main dish.
The drinks are the only thing which could be a bit cheaper, but it’s okay for a restaurant like this.
Overall it was really cool to be here, i can recommend it.

This was once my favorite restaurant in Berlin. They have lots of options still (bowls, fun sushi, summer rolls, desserts, drinks) but the quality is medium blah blah mediocre. The restaurant deco was once beautiful with moss gardens inside the tables etc. Now everything needs a little more love to not feel cheap, broken or greasy. I grieve the loss of this place's charm.

Amazing vegan food, staff need to improve - Edit
Located on the second floor above the Veganz shop. Very originally designed. The food was delicious, presented in a fantastic way. Also the smoothie I had was amazing. The only minus was the attitude of one waiter, that appeard to be unfriendly and more busy with his mobilephone that with his work. However this place is located in a very busy and touristic area so maybe that affects the workers also. Would definitely come back to check out other things on the menu and see if the service improved.

The sushi really was amazing. Lots of choice and very refined taste. And everything was presented nicely and with a friendly service.

The dessert was good but not wow. The crème brulée was a little to hard texture wise and could use some extra flavor. The chocolate mouse was delicious but had pieces of chocolate in it.

Compared to American vegan sushi, it felt like the veggies were the star of the rolls. I don’t love cream cheese and mayo in sushi so this was much appreciated. The Envious Hannya roll was my favorite but the dumplings were also quite good. I would have liked some spicier options.

A busy restaurant, reservations are recommended! It was busy and that's always a good sign. Although they have main courses, like noodles, it's more than okay to just order sushi, which we did. We had a sharing plate and every sushi order (as far as we could see) came with a pot of fancy smoke (harmless and it doesn't affect the taste). The sushi itself was also very good. The sharing plate was 38€ in total for two persons, which was cheaper than we're used to in the Netherlands.

Read moreWent here together with a group of four (me + 3 non-vegans) and the place is well located with an asian style interior. We decided to share the “Social gathering for four” which came with a lot of different types of sushi. They serve the plate and then there’s a smoke surprise which was fun. My favorites were definitely the fried rolls but everything else was just ok.
I enjoyed that everything on the menu was vegan and I am happy that I went, but will probably try another sushi place if I am in the area. Be aware that the price is a bit high to what you get but also expected as it’s in a very popular area. I got a really touristy feel with the smoke and the waiters were on their phones.

Hatte mich gefreut dort essen zu gehen, als ich dort ankam habe ich die Bedienung beim erklären der zahlungshinweise nicht verstanden. Daraufhin wurde der Keller schnippisch und unfreundlich!

Yesterday, we visited this restaurant with great anticipation of a delicious meal and an enjoyable evening. Unfortunately, my experience was heavily impacted by the unprofessional and unfriendly attitude of a staff member.
Read moreWhen we entered the restaurant the staff member said that it is not possible to pay with a credit card. Only with a debit card (EC) or cash. I told him friendly that I didn’t hear him and if he could repeat what he just had said. Then he said “As I said, you cannot pay here with a credit card, only cash or with a debit card!” in an aggressive and unfriendly tone.
I told him that his reaction was very unfriendly and that I was not amused by his reaction. He denied, in an unfriendly tone…. again. I asked my partner of I was too sensitive. She also agreed that he was very unfriendly in his tone.
Ultimately, we decided to leave the restaurant without placing an order. We didn't feel welcome and didn't want to waste our money and time in a place that provides such poor customer service.
The fact that a staff member here was so unfriendly was particularly disappointing.
It's regrettable that this individual staff member had the potential to impact my entire experience. As a customer, I desire respect and courtesy. This restaurant failed to meet these basic standards. Maybe the vegan sushi is very good in this restaurant. However, the staff member should first learn how to approach customers.
Overall, I cannot recommend Secret Garden due to my negative experience with the unfriendly staff member. It's unfortunate that a single staff member can question the image and reputation of the entire restaurant. I hope that the management takes appropriate measures to ensure that such incidents do not recur and that future guests have a better experience.

It’s tasty and you get a great sushi experience due to they special sushi menus. It’s not the best sushi you’ll ever eat but it’s really good though. Make sure to taste the crunchy rolls, these are the best!!

Wir haben die Platte für zwei (38€) genommen und es war sehr schön angerichtet. Die meisten haben sehr gut geschmeckt, nur die mit der chilimayo und dem ketchup oben drauf fand ich nicht so gut. Die Summerrolls waren auch sehr lecker mit einer Wasabi Mayonnaise, hätten für meinen Geschmack aber etwas mehr Salat drin haben können. Insgesamt hat es sich gelohnt!

I tried a few dishes and everything was amazing. The various teas also tasted particularly good. Unfortunately the music in the restaurant doesn't match the surroundings and is also very loud. The staff was a bit stressed but I can understand that on a long, busy evening. The interior is really pretty!!

The sushi here was excellent! We got a selection including Der Klassiker (fried gyoza), Irezumi Art (truffle, miso, avocado, tuna), Golden Koi (avocado, butternut pumpkin, pesto), Tempura Tiger (tempura roll, zucchini, king oyster mushroom) and Spargel Nigiri (asparagus, truffle mayo). It was all delicious! Everything we tried was so flavoursome and each different dish had its own unique taste. My personal favourite was the Tempura Tiger but honestly it was all just amazing. It was on the pricier side and despite spending €30 we were not full afterwards but I can understand the price as it was really good quality. The restaurant was also cute and has big glass windows that provide a nice view.
