Wow! I was so happy to finally find a spot on this island that *actually* had a vegan burger. Unfortunately, when you double check at most places, the bun is actually not vegan—only the patty. The waiter here was diligent and friendly, and I was able to eat everything! My burger had guac, caramelized onions, and a really yummy sauce on it! So much flavor!! This was a delicious meal, maybe the best vegan meal I’ve had here so far!!

Die Karte ist nicht gut gekennzeichnet. Ein „V“ Label kennzeichnet veggie Optionen, es geht aber nicht hervor ob es vegane oder vegetarische Gerichte sind. Laut Bedienung sind nur zwei Gerichte vegan: die asiatischen Nudeln und der Burger. Die Pommes die mit dem veganen Burger kommen seien jedoch „normale Pommes“ und daher nicht vegan. Einige offensichtlich anderen vegetarischen Optionen haben kein „V“ erhalten, wie z.B. der gesamte Nachtisch. Leider war auch der Service komplett überfordert auf die Frage nach veganen Gerichten und hat dementsprechend unflexibel reagiert.

Der Ausblick ist schön, allerdings gibt es nur wenig Plätze direkt zum Wasser.

Out of everything that we tried in our recent vacation (including another top tier restaurant), we look back with joy at the complexity of flavors and nutrients of the plate with cauliflower and the plate with the burger. Also the puree soup was tasty. That's why I would place this meal as the best we had on the island.

We went for dinner and sat on the rooftop terrace, we had booked inside but thank gawd we were nosey and went up the stairs to see if there was a view or would have had sad indoor seats! We had spring rolls and dips to start followed by noodles with a scattering of veg and tofu and a vegan burger ... All 3 dishes very nice, the noodles were a bit like 3 min packet noodles but still enjoyed them as vegan food isn't that easy to come by in Porto Moniz

The most unfriendly staff in Madeira - Edit
Sitting inside is only for hotel guests. So especially don't go on a windy day.

They only offer the vegan standard choices: burger and bowl. No vegan sushi.
The (beyond meat) burger was ok.
The bowl however was not: dry rice with dry bread accompanied by a few dry vegetables, dried fruits and salad that had seen better days, it had black spots in it.
On the side: soy sauce.
All in all: Will not come back.

I had ordered the “vegan burger” on the menu but didn’t realize it wasn’t actually a burger in between two buns but rather Beyond meat on top of a mix of vegetables. Still very tasty!

The restaurant itself is very well located with a stunning view over the sea and the service is on point. There are vegan starters, main dishes and desserts. We had the arrancini, the beyonf burger and the coconut semifrio. We loved the arrancini and the burger but the dessert was pretty disappointing. Overall a very good fine dining experience.
