Surprising number of options - Edit
8 flavors of sorbet! Most of the flavors on our trip were fruit flavors which was a bit of a bummer. We tried the Blood Orange and Mint. The mint tastes straight up like toothpaste so be warned. The blood orange was excellent. They were both very "creamy."

Amazing Gelato! - Edit
This fabulous locally owned shop has a great variety of gelato. There’s at least one vegan option available and several dairy free options. And they aren’t just vanilla or chocolate, but interesting flavors that change periodically.

Several vegan friendly flavors and the staff were friendly, though maybe lacking a bit in knowledge. When asked if the waffle bowl/cones were vegan they said no then yes. I wasn’t willing to risk it, but the gelato itself was delicious and the price wasn’t outrageous. They also had different flavors when we went later in the day.

They had 8 dairy free or vegan options and it's winter time. I had a hard time deciding as they all looked so good. I got a double. Pink grapefruit and blood orange. I loved them both. They were so rich and creamy and not overly sweet. I could totally eat here often!

They had a lot of great vegan gelato options. All vegan flavors were fruit flavors, which I loved but my husband would’ve liked something other than a fruit flavor. They’re not shy about how much they give you, two scoops was more like three. Cute little shop and would definitely come back.

They have well marked Dairy free options. The day I went they had 8 (of probably 40) that were dairy-free. All of the dairy free flavors were fruit flavored, but they said that isn’t always the case. Sea Star Gelato is a must on any trip to Seaside, OR

First of all, the two guys working were so nice! There were 4 dairy free options listed. I asked if that meant they were vegan and the younger guy said yes. I ended up getting a scoop of wildberry and a scoop of lemon. They were really good! The other 2 options were peach mango and watermelon lime. I think they have more options in the busier season. It's not busy in Seaside in winter, at least when we were there. I would like to see a non fruit dairy free option, like chocolate. It was really great having a yummy dessert option though! I'll definitely be back.

This place is fantastic and the staff is very friendly! I have been there 4 times now and they have offered six to seven flavors of vegan sorbetto each time I have come in. They even took a special order and had my requested flavor available the next day. As of May 2015, they do not have any vegan paninis yet. However, while I was speaking with one of the owners, she let me know that she is trying out vegan panini recipes. Hopefully soon!!!
