UPDATE: Still here and still good 👍🏼 - Edit
Stopped in for lunch (Power Bowl) and a Dark Cocoa. I'm happy to report that the food is tasty AND healthy. No grease or oil slime on these lightly cooked veggies, legumes and whole grains. This is now one of my go-to places for a casual meal or snack.
Read moreI recently popped into this brand-new, fast-casual, endeavor by Matthew Kenney's outfit. It was between meals so I had the Almond Bagel (small bagel with almond butter and fresh strawberries). It was delightful - not overly salty or sweet.
The other offerings include many kinds of bowls for breakfast or lunch (pre-set and custom), smoothies, some baked breakfast items and other beverages.
It is labeled as a "studio" so I expect the norm to be variety and innovation here.
Will definitely be heading back to try more, so stay tuned. Or better yet, try it yourself!

Fast, healthful - Edit
Been here twice, and will continue to frequent. Had a custom bowl and sweet bowl. If you’re WFPB, this is the spot for you. It’s way better than SweetGreen, and soooo much better then Cava and Dig. Not greasy at all and prices are reasonable, especially the sweet bowl. I was really surprised at how good the sweet bowl was-Chocolate oats, almond butter, berries and granola. Plenty of seating and a clean bathroom, too. Why can’t all fast food be this healthful and delicious?

Wow! top-notch casual vegan venue - Edit
This is a casual place; you order at the counter, and then grab one of the simple but cozy seating within. The setup is simple and attractive, not fancy, and there is an available restroom. All the food here is vegan, gluten-free, healthy, and all is eco-friendly. I tried a custom bowl and a snack bar--extremely delicious and very filling (the tempeh was particularly good)!
Read moreThe prices are not found on the website, but if you see the photos, you can see the pricing (and the QR code on one of the photos will bring you to the website). Considering how good this place is, the prices are surprisingly good-- for instance, comparable to the vegan-friendly Sweetgreen or Dig Inn across the street, which are both good, but Scen Studio is much better, one of the very best casual vegan restaurants in NYC
Pros: Heathy, delicious, creative, friendly staff, good value
