Decent food, really good açaí bowl - Edit
I went there several times because vegan options are limited on the island. Staff is always very friendly. Most vegetarian dishes can be made vegan.
Read moreI tried the tofu burger, which was delicious but it was really just a block of tofu.
I also tried tofu bolognese potato, was good, but felt like I can cook it better myself, so just a decent meal.
The açaí bowl is also very nice and comes with a lot of fruit! The smoothies are also very good.

Omg. What’s not to love. A pretty varied menu where all vegetarian dishes can be made vegan. I went twice as it was soooo delicious the first time. Had mushroom burger with added fries and strawberry smoothie. Then returned for salad with mushroom and açai smoothie. But seriously everything that we saw come from the kitchen looked fantastic. And staff were super friendly and helpful. Was very busy but every table cleaned immediately and staff not stressed at all. Also vegan options in the dessert cabinet too. Five stars from me!!

Great vegan options! Had a tofu burger with fries for around 14 and a Mango smoothie for 6 dollars. Pricing is very reasonable and the food tastes great! Probably the best vegan option on this island. Recommend!

Cafe is always clean and staff are polite and helpful. The food is good and always well cooked. Add to that very reasonable prices and you have a very good local high street cafe. Highly recommended

Loved our food there! They have several vegetarian options on the menu and mention that most can be made vegan. We had a sweet potato with vegan Bolognese and a tofu burger with fries (one of the best ones I have had so far). Both were really delicious! And the prices are also quite reasonable - £15 £3 for burger and fries and £15 for the sweet potato if I remember correctly.

I had the caramelised tofu salad, which could also be put inside a burger. It was large, hearty and delicious. The perfect feed for after a long morning hike. They also had smoothies, vegan breakfast options and baked potatoes with vegan toppings! Very impressed overall, would definitely come back.

Dropped in for a bite to eat while waiting for the ferry. Nothing on the menu is vegan but menu states most vegetarian meals can be made vegan. Got the Tofu burger and my partner got the Pesto Mushroom burger; Both were quite good and I like the fact that they use Turkish Rolls for something different.

We are there for lunch & dinner on seperate occasions! Really nice to see some different things on the menu for a vegan to have. Would be nice to have a vegan menu clearly labelled but we really enjoyed it!

Bloody delicious!!! Best vegan meal we’ve had since moving to Townsville! Super friendly service, delicious, nourishing food, and hardy portions. We have tried the coffee, burgers, salads, paninis, & chips - all great! They even make their own vegan pesto! Highly recommend if you’re on magnetic island!

Visited Scallywags numerous times whilst staying on Magnetic island! Have heard that it closes during the year, during non-peak season, how’ve was luckily open and busy whilst I was there. Not a whole lot of vegan options however drinks are mostly vegan or can be made vegan (with bonsoy available)! I had a tropical smoothie, banana turmeric smoothie, açai bowl, satay tempeh salad and satay tempeh burger whilst there which were all delicious!! However, the satay tempeh option was a special at time! There was also a delicious tofu burger on the menu!! (& tofu salad!) & serving sizes were generous. Such a groovy cafe with really cool vibes! Would definitely recommend :))

Went here 3 times! Very friendly staff. Enough vegan options. The tofu burger was a good surprise! I'm usually not a big fan of tofu burgers (bland and boring), but this one was DELICIOUS! They also sell blissballs and good chai latte! Would def recommend this place

Cute cafe with lots of vegan options- owners are also happy to accomodate vegan and allergies. Many items on the menu are vegan or easily veganised. Have plant mills and a kids corner. Definitely a must visit if you’re on magnetic island! They are only open though may-October.
