Good pancakes!

June 2023:
4.5 stars really. The food was delicious and it’s a cute cozy cafe. You only get 2 pancakes per portion, which felt a bit stingy especially for the price (£12.60), but they do nearly make up for it with lots of toppings.

I really wish they’d ditch the cows’ milk and go fully vegan!!

Update Feb 2024: went again and was overall slightly less good. All nice but nothing less special

Loved it, great menu

Great little cafe, friendly vibe, all vegan (except for that milk option) - and the menu is great. The zalmon bagel was very tasty, the filter coffee and a vanilla pastry were a delicious combo. Definitely recommend this place :)

Good, simple food

We had frittata and porridge for breakfast, the food was good and to the point. A bit unclear whether they had table service or not.

Pros: Good food

Cons: Staff attention a bit off

Not vegan

They told me it was fully vegan when i entered then when i came to order they asked me if I wanted cows milk in my latte or plant milk! Should be listed as vegetarian not vegan. Really don’t like when businesses claim to be vegan but are not. There is nothing vegan about cows milk.

Perfect breakfast options when you don't want a full fry up!!

In London overnight and wanted a light breakfast, so looked for the closest vegan cafe. This place was close to my hostel in Bethnal Green and had a variety of options to choose from. The ones i was deciding between were sausage muffin, cheese toastie, salmon bagel with cream cheese, and pancakes. (It also had "heavier" options for lunch.) I had the bagel, and it was just right - i.e., not too heavy, meaning I could search for somewhere else at lunchtime and not be too full!!! Good value too for what you get, and it being in London - large latte only £3.60 and the bagel was £7.20 sit in.

Pros: Great variety of options to suit all tastes, Friendly staff, Good value for money

An absolute must!!

Came here last summer on a trip to London and chose to come back to stay in Shoreditch on a recent trip to London specifically just to eat here! It’s incredible!

Pros: Huge array of delicious vegan pastries

Delicious vegan salmon

I love vegan salmon and vegan salmon bagels so obviously this was a place for me. Besides the bagels we also tried the avocado toast and smoothie bowl - everything was really good. The place is cosy and the staff are super friendly. A must try place especially for vegan salmon lovers!

Pros: Fully vegan, Amazing vegan salmon, Cute place & friendly staff

Lovely breakfast

Lots of vegan options - we shared the egg toastie and cheese& pesto toastie. Lovely bread and big portions. The pastries also looked amazing! But unfortunately they had run out of the croissant I wanted. Lots of sweet and savoury options to take away as well

Pros: Good price , Varied brekkie options , Fresh pastries

Cons: On a main road , Might not have space to eat in on a busy day

New found, very good

Cycle there so often and didn’t know about it!
As soon as I found they’re veggie went to check them out for brunch and it was delicious!
We had frittata(nice fat slice served with hummus and spinach), zalmon bagel, pancakes and the cinnamon roll and oh yeah! It was good! Together with two coffees we paid just under £30 which is for London reasonable price.

I’m totally in love with the salmon and came back for it just two weeks later and on that occasion tried the spicy rice burrito. It was good but N’1 for me is zalmon!:P also just now I found out the zalmon itself is £4!!! I think I’ll carry on cycling around often

Edit 12/11
Keep coming back for he zalmon as much as I can !

Bit Spenny But Worth The Penny

There I was, on a Saturday morning. Hungry, parched. “I fancy some breakfast” I thought to myself. So I looked online for breakfast food. I saw “English Muffin” at Sazzy and Fran’s, so I ordered it. For a moment in time I felt like a normal human being despite being a vegan.

Pros: Vegan Breakfast Munch , Tastes Good , Made Me Feel Like A Normal Human

Cons: A Little Pricey

Hi,
Thank you for your review and thank you for ordering from us.
I agree with you about the price online but unfortunately the costs to be on ubereats is very high, ( uber charge us 30% per order on the total spend plus we need to add 20% VAT on the total order too ) this why our price are high.
Thank you very much for your support.

Nice little cafe

Nice little place on a quiet street in Bethnal Green. Has board games and a chilled vibe which is nice. Only downside is it’s not fully vegan due to cows milk in drinks, but all food is😄

Pros: All vegan food, Board games

Cons: Cows milk in drinks

Bright, cheerful cafe, very tasty food.

A great little vegan cafe just behind the Museum of Childhood.
I had a tasty vegan frittata served with humus and salad. My partner had a muffin
With seitan, vegan cheese , mustard and leaves, again tasty and filling.
They also offered an assortment of cakes.
A great place for a light lunch or breakfast.

Nice place for a quick coffee

Stopped for a quick lunch, a toastie, brownie and coffee. Friendly staff, nice sitting places overlooking the street. The brownie was really nice.
Not all vegan though, as they use cow's milk.

A nice, friendly café

Good coffee and food. A good variety of vegan food, including cakes. A small bright space and a friendly welcome. It's let down by its use of dairy milk. I would encourage them to become fully vegan.

Pros: Good variety of vegan food and drinks, Friendly and welcoming

Cons: Serves dairy milk

Hidden gem

My boyfriend and I originally planned to go to the Just Fab bus. However despite Google and happy cow saying it was open, when we got there at 1pm it was locked.
We couldn't have been happier for the this turn of events led us to the Sazzy and Fran cafe. Tucked away in a quiet area, the food was absolutely incredible. My boyfriend (non-vegan) was amazed by how good everything was. They were really friendly too and we got a free sample of a lemon sorbet. 5*!!

Cons: None

Vegan food in lovely setting

Enthusiastic and thoughtful owners offer interesting vegan food, cakes, cookies...I had French toast which was really good...offered with option of soy yogurt or coconut cream.

Bowls made from Palm, cups and cutlery from corn starch mean there is as little impact on environment as possible..

They are still serving dairy milk but hope to go 100% vegan soon.

Easy to get to from brick lane...an interesting 15 minute walk passing by Bethnal green market and museum of childhood.

Pros: All vegan food and several plant milks on offer, Eco friendly, Reasonable prices

interesting new place

The Italians are making their passion for food felt in the vegan scene of London at last! Picky Wops in the west, Piadina Genuina in Hackney and now this place in Bethnal Green right next to the Fab Bus!
They have a limited menu that changes everyday and each week, but I think Fridays will always have Pizza as an option. The food is fresh, the service friendly and the location interesting. A little tricky to find so I posted a boring photo of the entrance from the Oval road just off Hackney Road. We,ll be back!

Pros: good tasty fresh food, friendly and keen service, inexpensive

Cons: limited options, limited space
