Same menu for years & no desserts! - Edit
I used to love the Saxon Mill but soon realised as a vegan the options are pretty limited and the same in the chain, went to Oxford and noticed it was the same menu (can’t remember the name). And really frustrating that there is no vegan options for dessert I mean come on.

Stunning place in Warwick - Edit
Right on the water in an old working mill, it's a beautiful setting with lovely outdoor seating - perfect for summer - Overlooking the river. The food is always lovely, they have plenty of vegan options and the staff are lovely.

Ive had the vegan burger here before which is tasty, it is good that there is a separate menu for vegans which makes it easy to find something suitable. Expensive for what the food is, but still delicious and cosy pub

We made an impromptu stop at this gastro pub and we’re initially impressed that they had a separate vegan menu. However I should perhaps have given more significance to the barmaids comment that they didn’t often use the vegan menus…
Read moreThe food was slow to arrive, yet when it came it was tepid. Portions were very small and the pizza base was so tough that it was virtually inedible, as was the flatbread. Very disappointing.
The bar area we ate in was cold, so the long wait for food was uncomfortable.
Toilet skirting boards were thick with dust so hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned in a long time.
Pros: Separate vegan menu
Cons: Food arrived tepid, Portions were small, Food simply wasn’t very nice!

This is a lovely pub in a beautiful setting right on the river. They have a separate vegan menu. My first choice- the mezze flatbread- was unavailable so I chose the burger instead. Unfortunately, it was luke warm at best, the cheese wasn’t melted at all and the bun was a lot bigger than the actual burger. My friend had the coconut curry, which she said was nice although the rice was stuck together and stodgy. I also tried the apple and damson crumble with ice cream which was delicious (advertised vegan custard was not available).

A full vegan menu with lots of choice in a great surrounding. I also have intolerances and the staff were happy to check everything and informed me of what I could eat. I highly recommend the polenta and blueberry cake pudding with custard!

Amazing vegan menu! - Edit
Loved all the choice, it was my first time there but I think they have a new vegan menu. I had a cauliflower tart and the crumble, was all delicious, especially the tart and it was huge!

I didn't enjoy the food here at all I had the vegan option which was a flatbread covered in a thick layer of chutney and a few strands if oyster mushroom.

Lovely pub in a super setting. Good vegan options on standalone menu. Salad and burger were very nice, portions were not big and mains came with no sides (burger without chips, tart was just tart and no veggies). Further, the service was really slow. Some food arrived cold. 20 minutes after ordering dessert we were told it was no longer available, and it took another ten minutes for them to bring the card machine.

Having grown up in Warwick, I’ve visited the Saxon Mill many times, from the ‘Harvester Days’ to the excellent establishment it is now (including prior to being a vegan). If you’ve never been before it’s a great location with lots of season next to the river. I was really surprised to see they now have a separate vegan menu with good choices for all courses. The food was exceptional, highly recommend to any vegans thinking about giving it a shot!
