Received chicken in a dish requested to be vegan - Edit
I went here with my mom after having a great experience at the St Paul location a couple months ago.
Read moreI discussed vegan dietary needs with the waitress when reviewing the menu and during ordering. I felt good because when I asked about making items vegan-friendly, the waitress seemed very attentive and advised that some of the stir fry dishes have oyster sauce and if I told her which dish they could substitute the sauce if needed.
I was very surprised when the dish came out and included what looked like, and was then confirmed to be, chicken. The waitress apologized and said they would remake me a vegan stir fry. My mom and I were going to split the vegan dish but after receiving the chicken one she said she would eat that one so it didn't go to waste.
When the tofu stir fry came out it was really good but the experience was tainted.
I don't think I would feel comfortable going back after that experience without knowing they took more care to ensure employees were diligent about dietary needs.

2025 Vegan Chef Challenge Review - Edit
This year's entry for the Vegan Chef Challenge was Stir Fry Cabbage with Tofu which consisted of stir-fried cabbage, bean sprouts and shitake mushrooms with tofu in Thai black sauce. The dish had a mild flavor profile as served, but came to life with a splash of soy sauce.

VEGAN MENU ITEMS
Vegan menu items are not labeled. However, there is a statement on the menu that says, “Many items can be made vegan; ask your server.” There is another statement on the menu that says, “Fried appetizers are all cooked in the same oil and therefore cross-contamination can occur.”
My server said they veganize by changing the type of sauce used in the dish, but make sure to ask, especially for the curries which the menu says all have shrimp paste. Some of the vegan or veganizable menu items might be (ask):
