A hidden gem - Edit
I’ve been going to Savor for lunch and dinner for the past 2 years. It’s an awesome vegetarian restaurant that serves almost all vegan dishes (they’re clearly marked). The food is consistently good, the vibe is chill and the chef is kind (he will not hesitate to offer recommendations if you can’t decide)! My current favorites on the dinner tapas menu are the Mashi and Fennel Baklava. Bring a friend or 2, so you can try a few things! You won’t regret it

Amazing and special middle eastern food - Edit
The waiter (I believe also owner) is from Yemen. Really interesting and unique middle eastern dishes. Just when one thinks they’ve tried all the middle eastern food there is, this place is here to introduce you to some new ones!
Read moreThe vegan items make up the majority of the menu and are clearly marked. In fact, on the night we were there (a Friday) they said everything that night was plant-based, including the desserts. Highly recommend!!
Pros: Unique menu, Good advice from staff, Shareable plates

Do me a Savor! - Edit
Savor is delightful with a unique and creative style of Mediterranean cuisine. Almost completely vegan menu but the chef can make it vegan upon request. Everything is fresh and authentic and full of flavor to savor. It's a fairly small space but it's quaint and cozy so perfect for date night or a first date and maybe you'll get lucky. Highly recommend giving it a try and I am confident you'll be satisfied.

Homemade Vegan Mayos - Edit
Lovely little cafe with some amazing homemade vegan dishes. I came here to order takeout and it was great.
Read moreAll the entrees include a side salad or soup of the day. I tried their Portobello Shawarma and the Pulled king Trumpet Burger, which came in two making it easy to share or save one half for later.
The shawarma wrap was loaded with veggies and a tasty tahini dressing. Although it ended up falling apart due to how wet the ingredients were, so I'd probably skip on this in the future. The vegan trumpet burger though was fantastic. I loved the house bbq sauce and the use of mushrooms was perfect.
The two soups we had included were delicious as well. Their vegan cauliflower curry soup was the standout for sure.
Definitely a great lunch and a spot I'd return again in the future.

The best ever - Edit
I never write reviews, but this restaurant was amazing. We came for lunch. This was the best bite of our trip. We started with the savor platter. The hummus was the best we have ever had (which is saying something), and the pita came out hot and fluffy from the oven. We each had a shawarma wrap. The cauliflower soup was great. We took two desserts to go - the cherry chocolate bread pudding was ridiculously tasty. The owner also served us, which added such an authentic element to the experience

Brilliant food plus baklava! - Edit
Had a very good dinner at Savor SF. It’s at a quiet street near GG park. The platter as well as the tofu was good. And there is a savory baklava in addition to the sweet version. All plant based menu baring 1-2 items which might contain dairy. Would highly recommend this place…

My new favorite vegan spot in the Bay - Edit
This place met all my expectations, which were high after browsing their beautiful Instagram feed. We had a vegan croissant, stuffed baby beets, cauliflower-lavender soup, hodo tofu sougar, and the wild mushroom knaffe. Afterwards, we wished for our stomachs to grow so we could order more food. Everything was interestingly spiced, beautifully presented and delicious. Bonus points for feeling like you're in someone's warm home and getting to experience the flavors they grew up with. This is a must go!!

Excellent tapas! - Edit
Chef and owner really knows how to lay a table filled with delicious food. I've been here for lunch and for dinner. There are some tables outside if the weather is nice. At dinner it's best to make a reservation.

Awesome dinner tapas - Edit
Really enjoyed my meal here. Lots of labeled vegan options for dinner, including dessert. I came by myself and I came hungry and ordered the tofu sougar as well as the potato and sage phyllo pastry, I finished most of it with a little left over. So perhaps 3 dishes would be enough for 2 people to share.

A talented chef, now with a completely vegetarian spot - Edit
As other people have mentioned, the owner of this restaurant previously ran a beloved and creative non-vegetarian restaurant (Saha) in two other locations. His prior endeavors were extremely vegan-friendly and showcased his tremendous cooking skills.
Read moreNow he's back with a small but completely vegetarian (and primarily vegan) restaurant in the Inner Sunset, conveniently located right next to an N Judah streetcar stop. You should go! The food is beautiful and delicious.

Go eat here - Edit
I was looking for vegan lunch location following visit to DeYoung Museum in Golden Gate Park. This restaurant popped up close by. I am now in love. If you live nearby I am so jealous. I am already dreaming of the Green Spanish Melt and cold Cucumber Mint soup I had. My husband said the House Falafel was the best he'd had and he always tries it cuz its his favorite. Upon leaving with our full happy bellies, we saw the trays of homemade bread pudding and baklava--next time. We will be back!

Great addition to the veg scene! - Edit
Lawrence and Mohammed will totally take care of you in this new gem of a spot in inner Sunset. This is not your typical fast food shawarma place. Every item on the menu we tried (all six!) were lovingly created and overflowing in rich, savory flavors. Highlights were the Pulled King Trumpet Burger and Green Spanish Melt, as well as the cauliflower soup of day. If you want to tone down the richness, you can hold off on things like added mayo and sour cream, but we weren't complaining! Definitely a place to come back to again and again!

New Favorite in SF! - Edit
This place is just incredible. Nearly everything on the menu is vegan, clearly labeled, and you can taste the love and quality put into this food. We tried the sampler, samosas, mushroom knaffe, and….vegan crème brûlée for dessert! All were delicious and filling. I plan on returning many times to try all the vegan options!

Excellent and flavorful mediterranean - Edit
Even though vegans usually have a decent amount of options with Mediterranean fare, you don't realize how much you're missing until you go to a place like Savor. It's a fully vegetarian menu, mostly vegan, and everything is incredible. Whether it's a Mediterranean flatbread 'pizza', platter of delicious hummus, baba ghanoush, etc., or quinoa cakes, everything is delicious.

I have been a fan of Mohamed Aboghanem's cooking for a long time having followed him from Saha in San Francisco to Berkeley and then back to San Francisco thus I was disappointed to learn that Saha was a pandemic casualty.
Read moreSo when I read a review of Savor on SF Eater I was very happy and it was for good reason.
Mo's latest venture is his first in the vegan/vegetarian-only world which gives him even more room to flex his veg culinary skills. He brings his Yemeni upbringing along with his culinary training and the result is a vibrant mix of both traditional and new creations that always have a complex spice blend.
Every item on the dinner menu is either vegan or it has a vegan option.
I have only been in for dinner so far and there is not one item I would not recommend. Not only that Mo usually has a couple of specials to add in.
Do yourself a favor, pay Mo a visit.
